Did anyone else feel like ME 1 had the BEST music out of any sci fi game? I really loved the music espically the galaxy map, the unexplored worlds and vigil. ME 2 and 3 just didn't do it for me. I can't remember any awesome old style sci fi music in 2 and 3 at all.
This has some of them but not all of it, it just shows how ME 1 had such an awesome soundtrack compared to 2 and 3.

Overall, yes. ME1's music had its own identity. Every song from it brings me back to the ME universe.
However, ME2's End Run and Suicide Mission, then ME3's Clint Mansell theme are individual favourites.
BTW, there's a series of interviews with the composers on GameTrailers.com. The most interesting is the Citadel theme and Galactic Map theme. The behind the scenes stories are pretty damn neat, and some of these guys you can tell are real hardcore gamers.
