I started Legacy in act 2 but now i'm having second thoughts , I intended to play the DLC in act three. If I load the save before i started Legacy I will go back 8 hours playtime. ):
So can I continue Legacy in act 3?

There is a point (same statue as beginningpoint) in a cave in Legacy where you can return to Kirkwall. If you do that you can finish Legacy in act 3. You do not need to reload that way.

or if by chance you havent passed the big gate you can actually go back to the area where you started
