I can sort of buy the character justification that Miranda plays up all her genetically-perfected features to her advantage by wearing revealing clothing and turning men into puddles of drool, but... there is something not right with those arse shots. Fabric does not do that over a pair of buns, unless it's somehow, dunno, glued on the inside? We're having a serious conversation about genetic predestination and agency, and BAM! my screen is 75% arse and all I can think is, that must chafe so much.
I see women every day with pants as tight as Miranda, so that's not the case. I've always wondered though how women can find that comfortable.
As for the ass shots, Bioware simply did it for publicity and I'd say it worked. It did what they intended, it sparked conversation/controversy... no matter how rediculous you thought of them, it got people TALKING. People making topics like these, posting images everywhere, videos, word of mouth, etc. that in turn catches outside peoples attention, makes them interested and before you know it... they buy the game.
More sales = more money.
In the end, it's all about business. Welcome to the 21st century media.
