For whatever reason, my DA2 game cannot connect to the internet. I didn't have this issue at all with Origins. Whenever I start the game, I get an error that says "You must be connected to the internet to access online features." It doesn't even allow me to attempt to log in with my account. I tried allowing an exception in my windows firewall, and I also tried completely disabling it and that didn't seem to work either. I use Symantec Endpoint Protection for my anti-virus, and as far as I can tell there's no options to mess with the firewall. I've had this problem since I first installed it.

Personally, I've never needed to have any game connected to the 'net after I got it registered and authorized, so I didn't add any comment (until now, a day later). The forum is very quiet now, and has been for almost a year. Every year about now, game forums all see a major draw-down of participants, and DA2 was particularly unpopular for a Bioware game, so never did have much message traffic.
The few people that did return last fall didn't stay. Very few readers have been on hand to answer questions. You will have to hope that one or more of the many message threads about the exact same thing that are in the archives have answers for you. Use Bing, Google, or Yahoo. Do not waste your time with the site's own (badly broken) finder.

Yeah, I did try that. Anyone else that has had the same problem didn't get an answer. I did figure out a way around it though. I had issues trying to authorize the game, so I had to go enable the official administrator account. For some reason, when I'm on my administrator account I can access the internet with the game just fine. But when I'm on my own personal account (which is also marked as an admin account) it doesn't work. It's weird. Thank you for at least replying though, I appreciate it.

I loop through several of the Bioware forums a couple of times a day, but DA:O was the last of the games that I thought deserved to sit next to KotOR and NWN1. I played ME-2 more than once, but it just wasn't good quality. ME-1 had good potential, ruined by an atrocious DRM scheme, same for ME-3, except I can't say whether it is any good at all. I haven't seen fit to put up with Origin.

I can't access the internet from the game either!! What did you do to get it to work??? What official administrator account are you referring to??? Support has no idea what to do to help me. Everything else works, including DA Origins which does log into the site fro the game.
I have DLC as well and it looks like there are part of the game I don't have from the original download because it won't log in.
Kind of feeling ripped off, especially as I paid for a DLC I can't play.
