I see the veil as a curtain that divides the real world from the spirit world. Although the lore states that Tevinter blood mages went physically into the fade and corrupted the golden city this is also not proven. It is something that the chantry teaches. Proof there is not. If there is please let me know.

This isn't proof supporting the chantry lore, but potential proof (or character conjecture, at least) to counter it - note the 6th bullet under the Quotes section of this wiki page (**warning - spoilers for the Legacy DLC**).

Thanks for the info. Played the DLC and completely forgot about that.
Still it's not proven that they did go to the golden city. On Wiki regarding the same DLC it is made questionable by Corypheus.

Yo dog I heard you don't want to be killed by organics so I've created some organics to kill you to stop you being killed by organics.

Also, the comics aren't cannon, Alistair can be dead.

Hate to burst your bubble, but the comics actually are canon; anything written and published by Gaider or other writers for the DA Universe is part of the Canon plot, i.e. the one that can be used if you don't have imports or don't want to use them, refered to as "default story."

Essentially, everyone's individual experiences with thier own Dragon Age playthroughs are akin to Multiverses. In other words different dimensions/timelines. I like to compare it to DC Comics with it's Multiple Universes/Earths. The canon Dragon Age Universe (the one written by Gaider) would be, basically, Earth One, with everyone else's being a different Earth/Thedas. But, yes, the comic is part of the Canon story.

Anyone else notice that the snake in the foreground of the second-to-last panel is the exact same color as Yavana's clothing?
