Am I the only one who was severely underwhelmed by Kai Leng's performance? Okay, he shows up, he battles Thane in a pretty awesome fight, he crashes your ride, etc. Anderson warns you about him, Miranda expresses surprise he's still alive and warns you about him, this guy is serious business by all accounts.
And then you actually fight him on Thessia and... nothing. The guy needs a freaking GUNSHIP to cover him while he recharges. Seriously? That's like saying "oof, I'm tired, take over a sec while I rest." In the end it's not even him that beats you, it's the gunship, which blows up most of the temple floor. Seriously, did they need Leng at ALL for that mission?
When he shows up again in the Cerberus base, he's not a whole lot better. Again with the "cover me while I recharge" thing. He's fighting a team of three and he needs to call in four different Cerberus squads just to die? Seriously? He can't even stab a seated Shepard.
I get that there's limited AI for the enemies, and honestly I was impressed at how intelligent most of the Cerberus soldiers were, but after all the hype Kai Leng got, he just felt like such a letdown. I suppose it would have been more impressive if he'd immediately incapacitated whatever teammates you had upon entering the battle... that would at least establish that he was better than them.
