More of an idea really.
The lore behind the Qunari (what little there is) is really neat and seeing a humanoid race like theirs in the game makes me want to play as one. I was thinking it'd be really cool to have the Qunari a playable race for the main campaign or maybe in a stand alone module. I'd imagine they'd get a large bonus to strength and a minor bonus to willpower, but maybe bioware's got some guidelines on this already.
If it were created as an origin I imagine it would be called something like "Tal'Vashoth" and allow the player to select either the rogue or warrior classes. They might have been born to Qunari in exile in Fereldan, thus not knowing anything about the Qunari homelands or philosophy except by hearing about it second hand. This is the least retrictive background I can imagine for a Qunari PC. Since Qunari are also capable of becoming mages, they could be selectable for the magi background as well with some adjustments.
I've never tried using the toolset myself and doubt that I'd have the patience or talent for it, but I'd be happy to provide creative guidance, writing and concept art for such a project. Anyone interested in this or have any thoughts on it? Any input is welcome!

I am definitely interested in this Mod, or a chance at one. It would be great to have the option to play a "semi-giant" race. Heck, there are dwarves, so why not qunari? They would have a bonus to strength greater than human. I'd imagine their setbacks would be in the Magic category (negative to offset the great increase to strength) and minor boosts to willpower and con.

I've searched the forums and found that Qunari indeed have no racial benefits, effectively making them four attribute points inferior in comparison to other races.
Following here are the racial benefits for the currently playable races:
Dwarf racial benefits: +1 strength, +1 dexterity, +2 constitution 10% chance to resist hostile magic
Elf racial benefits: +2 Willpower, +2 magic
Human racial benefits: +1 strength, +1 dexterity, +1 magic, +1 cunning
SamuraiWindu in his thread "Critical Redesign" suggested that Qunari receive as their racial benefits +2 strength, +1 willpower, and +1 constitution. This seems reasonably balanced and well though out to me, but I might also suggest +2 strength, +2 willpower or even +3 strength, +1 willpower.
