Bad news: So i believe the reason why i could not register this account with ME3 and therefore post in the spoiler section is because this bsn/ea account is not connected to my xbox live profile. I heard of ways of connecting your EA account to your xbox live account by download EA related demos from xbox live. I downloaded a game, and when i played the demo i found out that the EA account that i had been using all this time on my xbox, including on ME related stuff, was an almost exact version of my true email...except an "o" in my email had been mistaken (stupid human error) for a "0". So i couldn't update my account there to my EA account that im using here, because the email i was trying to change it to already existed for another account (the one associated here for "AnAccountWithNoName").
Just to make i went onto EA, went to forgot password, and typed in my gamertag. It then said it sent an email to the email associated with that gamertag. Of course the problem here is that email doesn't really exist because of that mistaken error of mine when i created it.
So i went onto the fake email and created an Origins part for it. And sure enough when i go to the page, on the Console personas section, in the xbox live part, was listed my gamertag.
So i hope there is a way to somehow get rid of this fake email account but somehow still use this EA account to be able to play ME3 online as well as registering the game here.
Good news: Since i have an account on EA now that is linked to my gamertag, i could create a bsn account with it, and register ME3 and therefore post in the ME3 spoiler section, because it is already linked. I could do this, the downside is that this account will be associated with a fake email. And i prefer that the BSN account that i would be using wouldn't have a fake email. Besides i like the account i have already here. But if there is no other way of registering ME3, then ill take this option.

Oh, and btw....a better term might be "secondary" as opposed to "fake"...just sayin', ya know *wink*
Good luck with what ever you decide.

If you don't want to create a second BSN account with this new email address, would it be possible for you to create a second Xbox Live account using your original email (same one you have for your current BSN account)? A lot of people have had success with this. From what I understand, just use ME3 on that account once when it's online. You won't have to use it again after it serves its purpose, until you need to register another game.
Wouldn't that cost more money to make a second xbox live account? Or can it be silver, not gold?

Using your "fake" email workaround is basically the same idea alot of us used. You can use this account to post here in BSN but you can still use the other that you have always played with to continue playing your MEcareers on, you just won't be able to reflect your career stats on the BSN/EA account you use here. But does that really matter? It's up to you.

Wait.....wouldn't i only be using just 1 account instead of 2 then? The one im using right now isn't connected to ME3, so im limitied in posting options, and its not connected to my ME3 playing experience. So if i used the one with the "secondary" email to it, i could keep playing ME3 with that one, and use it so i can post in the spoiler section on this forum. So i wouldn't need the "Accountwithnoname" anymore.

Silver works....that's what I had. Just remeber to use the new silver account to load ME3 and then your new gamertag and EA/Bioware accounts should be linked. Then it's all automatic after that.
Ok i can use silver then. However my 1st and so far only account registered to Xbox Live is Gold right now. It's the one i use to play Multiplayer and the one in which my "secondary" email is registered to.
So whats the point of making another xbox live account in which i can't play multiplayer with? Sure if i register it to the email on this BSN account, i would be able to post in the spoiler section, however none of my multiplayer stuff would be on this site because its a silver.

Most people who use this method only do so to register their games, and would keep using their original Xbox Live account with their Mass Effect saves for multiplayer. I don't use multiplayer at all (or any online features with the game), so I wasn't aware that BSN had anything for it on this site that would need to be connected with your account.AnAccountWithNoName wrote...

I have two gamertags. The primary one is my gold account. I have been using that to play every Mass Effect game and download the various DLC's etc. I can even use it to play MP if I want to. All my progress and achievemnets are shown on this gamertag. I have a "secondary " gamertag (which is SILVER) I made a long time ago just so I could download or redeem some code from EA for some game I forget which. After getting the download, I promptlly forgot about it but it was still linked to my EA account and EA thinks that it is the one I play on andiEA thinks it is my BSN account as well....don't ask cuz I (we) have had a lot of confusing run arounds with EA Help on this.
Anyways, I remembered it after being prompted by another contributer to this thread (Nefla) and so I signed in to XBL using the silver gamertag and ran ME3...that was all it took...Game registered. So, you will still have your XBL account to play MP in and the silver account only for the purpose of registering and posting here.

Well i just tried to create an XBL live account using the same email im using for this BSN/EA account and it didn't work. It wasn't able to use my email. So how then can i create a silver one, and then allow it to be used for "AnAccountWithNoName" if it won't have the same email?

OK, I encountered a similar problem like you. I tried creating a new XBL Silver account but the email wasn't accepted.. This was before I remembered the old one. For the purposes of registering and posting, you may have to create a new BSN name. See Spitfire17's workaround on page 8 of this thread...(sorry I'm too lazy to open another window and cut and paste) See if his issue was similar to yours. The big snag is the damn email thing it seems. I'm pretty sure one way or another we can get this straight for you but you may have to use a variation of "AnAccountWithNoName". Let's keep trying....hang in there.

This is me. I just decided to take the option of using my EA/origin account associated with my "secondary" email. And it worked. I don't want to take that other option and make a completley new bsn account by making another version of "AnAccountWithNoName". Either way, i wouldn't be using my original anymore. But that's ok.
Though i don't like the profile name for this BSN. Anyway to change it?

Well, good for you....finally you can participate in all the forums...Congrats!
As far as changing your name goes, it doesn't look like you can. I checked the BSN social help thingy: http://social.biowar...ategory/6/index
from what I read, you can't. Maybe contact a Moderator to see if there is a way.

@CmndrFisher: I won't be connecting my Xbox online, but thanks for the offer. I've still got one more thing to try out, a public place for online gaming. If players can create their own accounts, there's a chance. If it's just public accounts though, no chance. I'll try to get some more info. (It's the closest thing I can think of to Nefla's suggestion of creating an account on a friend's Xbox, for someone who doesn't have any gamer friends.)
I wish they'd find a fix for this. I sent him a PM too before this thread was made, but I still considered it helpful because at least it was the first definite answer I had on the issue, even if nothing could be done.Get Magna Carter wrote...

Same boat. It sucks because I have a lot of questions that would have spoilers. Oh well. I think its more of an EA policy than a BW; could be wrong, though.

Why didn't they just keep the system that worked AND was simple?

That's what I think too, just guessing by the appearance of the EA/Origin account message under sign-in around the time the registration change happened.stonbw1 wrote...

I've been talking about ME3 spoilers through PMs. That and groups seem to be the only options at this point.

At the end of the day they SHOULD have a board in which people who are unable to register can post spoilers. That they are unwilling to do so suggests callousness or laziness from them
