@CmndrFisher: I won't be connecting my Xbox online, but thanks for the offer. I've still got one more thing to try out, a public place for online gaming. If players can create their own accounts, there's a chance. If it's just public accounts though, no chance. I'll try to get some more info. (It's the closest thing I can think of to Nefla's suggestion of creating an account on a friend's Xbox, for someone who doesn't have any gamer friends.)

I wish they'd find a fix for this. I sent him a PM too before this thread was made, but I still considered it helpful because at least it was the first definite answer I had on the issue, even if nothing could be done.

While preferable to silence I do not consider "no" to be helpful.
helpful is offering a solution, or offering to look into a solution
An apology or explanation would be a compromise

So let me get this straight: My Xbox Live email needs to be the same email as the one I use to log in BSN?

Well, it isn't. It used to be the same email but I've since changed it. If I change it back, will everything work?

EDIT: Just changed my XBL email back to the original (the one I'm using for BSN). When I did, I noticed 'From Ashes' and other CE content appeared under my registered game content. I am still unable to see my achievements and stats, though.

I don't know what the heck's going on, and if anyone can shed some light on this, that'd be most appreciated.

What I do know, however, is one thing: your XBL email HAS to be the same email you are using for BSN. This was never mentioned once by EA or BioWare, because they don't know how their own stuff works.

Sorry for the double post, but can anyone fill me in as to when my stats are supposed to show up? I fixed the registration issue and can now see all my downloaded content and CE promo stuff on this account. Thing is, even though I've unlocked 6 achievements so far, none of them are showing on the respective page. This kind of worries me.

Play the game while connected to your account it should update your achievements and stuff, not that it really matters though...

I was connected all the time, Julio. It still hasn't updated anything. I seriously hope my stats show up eventually. I'm SO not gonna go through more trouble for this.

Also having this issue (360), and I know my problem is the different emails.

I'll likely fix it with a silver account, but, like many other posters, I doubt I'd even post that much now.


Edit: Can I just change the current email (not even mine) to my personal email (used for BSN) on my Gold account? Will that cause any issues?

I did that and it seemed to work, yeah. However, I'm still waiting on my stats to show up.

You might be waiting a while. My ticket was put in priority queue and I was told I'd be given a response within 10 days. After a month of checking my email every day I gave up. I got an email a month later (so two months after my ticket was put in), and I was given four days before my ticket got closed, which I missed because I don't check said email that often. <_<

Ah I remember this thread. And I see Bioware are still being dumb with this "use the register system that never works in order to post in the rest of the forums" idea.

Yes, Legion, you are correct.  It took a few of the contributors to this thread to figure it out and help others as well.  Bioware and EA were absolutley useless here.  I'm glad to see more and more community members with the same problem comming to this thread and getting the registration thing figured out with each other's help.  The solutions aren't perfect but they work.

BioWare and EA have no idea how any of this works.

I read a couple posts here to get an idea on what I'm doing and figured out the rest on my own. All is fixed now. If I decided to consult an EA guy, I would still be running in circles.

Let's see if I understand this correctly. I don't have xbox live. Someday I might get it and today is not that day. Are they basicly saying those of us who don't have live are sh!t out of luck? I paid a lot of money for ME3 and I would like to post on more forums rather than this one.

That's right. I've got the same problem, and so do a few other people in this thread. Hard to believe I've had the game for three months today (bought it on release date) and still can't post in the spoiler forums.

The one I used to sign up for my Sarendoctrinator account isn't, and I didn't realize that at the time (just shows you how much I use email), but BSN seems to acknowledge it fine. I'm hoping that BSN will just see that it has the same name as the one I'll use with Xbox Live and allow registration to happen.

So, I'll create an account at this public gaming place, play for a little while to let the online acknowledge my copy of ME3, and with luck all will go well! Apparently, creating an Xbox Live account there (as opposed to using one of their public accounts) requires paying for it. CmndrFisher, if you've still got the Xbox Live pass you offered, that'd be awesome. If not, I guess I'd have to buy one.

I just pm'd you the code.  I hope your discovery/idea works.  The email thing you're asking about should work, but that damn EA/Bioware link to your gamertag thing just confuses me.  Maybe some one else can answer definativley.  GOOD LUCK!!!

Thanks again! I really hope it works too. With all these online requirements to register, it took three months for me to come up with a solution that's even possible. Maybe soon I'll be able to get into those spoiler forums.

Hey guys, I finally got my game registered! Check it out, ME3 badge right under my avatar.

I... I don't even know how it worked. I totally expected that it wouldn't because I had to use different email accounts for the Xbox Live profile and to sign into multiplayer via EA/Origin's servers. The one that I used for this Sarendoctrinator account is technically inactive - it still worked to register with BSN (and multiplayer), but not for Xbox Live, so I had to use a different one. And it... worked anyway! So glad I didn't just give up when I reached that point. Then I signed in to BSN, clicked register game, and it did it automatically!

@CmndrFisher: I ended up not needing the code you gave me after all because I found one of my own (tricky little thing attached itself to the back of another ad in the ME3 box). I figured I'd hold onto it in case my first try didn't work, but since it did, the code is still yours to use or give out to anyone else.

Thanks! Well, I still won't be able to play the EC because my Xbox has no online connection (and I won't be playing the whole series again as the same Shepards on a public Xbox... way too much work), but I'm sure I'll have something to say when I watch it on youtube.
