Or for a temporary fix, make a separate spoiler forum where registration is not required. It wouldn't solve everything, but it would keep a lot of spoilers out of here. DA2 has separate general discussion forums for the registered and non-registered, so they've done it before.

Exactly - if they insist on keeping people with unregistered games from posting in the majority of the forums, at least make the one forum that they can post in available for spoilers so that they'd actually be able to discuss the game. There'll be a lot more spoiler leaks otherwise because people will naturally want to talk about the game. It's still not ideal, but the no-spoiler forum can only be of use for so long.

It is crazy that they prevent people from registering their games and prevent unregistered people from posting on spoiler forums and then complain about people posting spoilers in the general forum
And the block on the technical problems threads seems wrong too
(Yet they still refuse to allow offline console gamers to register...)

I have another tactic in mind that I will be using now. I'll let my fellow non registrants know how it goes if I accomplish anything with it.
I'd like to say to Theodoro and .458 that you guys didn't have to keep posting here since you were able to register and especially Theo as this was your thread. Yet you guys kept comming back offering suggestions and encouragement to those of us who still can't. That shows a bit of class. Thanks.
Anyways, I'll let you know how I make out with my next move. Good Luck guys and gals, hopefully this will get resolved someday...keep the pressure on.

I feel bad because I know exactly what it's like not being able to post in the forums when you should have the ability to - I had that problem for a long time. And it's simply unfair. I want to keep the thread alive so it won't be forgotten by BioWare staff - I'd hate it if they hope that the discontent will soon die out and that people will lose hope and just walk away. It's just not right - the whole system is flawed, and instead of encouraging the fans to participate in the forums and offer their praise or criticism, they dissuade them from doing so.
I sincerely wish you luck, because that's about the only thing that can get your game magically registered at some point...

I hate the bully, and Bioware and EA are playing the bully...they have no inclination to work with people without extraordinary duress. I have put up with this for a lot of bugs, the forum bug was probably the most difficult. Having a help desk guy tell you that you have to post for fixes on forums, by users, is bad enough. Having him tell me after knowing there are thousands of posts that I should make it one more, as a way of telling me he doesn't care, is terrible, and leaves a bad taste. Finding out I can't post on those very forums is frustrating beyond belief. Finding out that the help link on the BW forums points back to EA, catch 22 style, makes me realize that a bunch of cowards decided to implement the system to where they didn't have to be responsible is half way to a scam, since I paid money for this. Finally getting it "fixed" after multiple attempts and not taking no for an answer helped a lot...but then I find out they are still doing it, months after they claim it is fixed! I will never let them off the hook, ever. I also will not buy any more of their software. The lack of good faith and on their part, and incredible negligence, just astound me.

I tried contacting EA support about merging my Origin and my BSN account twice. After that I gave up. Both times I was told that what I asked for wasn't possible at all, until I presented them the same link Chris Priestly has posted. After that I successfully proved to them the Origin account was mine, but failed to prove my ownership of the BSN account I was even logged in at the time. ...
Reminds me of an old subscription service I once worked for. Found out there was a HUGE flaw that caused magazines to be billed even though subscribers had asked to end subscriptions, and that it was a minor change to fix it. The VP took me aside and told me they know about the flaw, and the customers (magazine houses) wanted it. They wouldn't change it because it was supposed to be that way! Probably about $10 million per magazine, where 30% were attempted cancellations. A week later they came up with a bogus, insane reason to get rid of me. EA reminds me of the same thing, where they have a phone number you can call, and can claim it is for you to get help, but about 75% of the people there are trained to get rid of the customer, to not know what really goes on, and to not solve problems...getting rid of the customer efficiently keeps their machinery running. There is no financial reason for them fix things. They are set up so that they cannot even submit a bug report to BW unless the issue is first marked resolved in their help ticket system.

So I take it the answer to my question a few posts above is a no, then? That's comforting.
So it appears, Phoenix. Seems we all have different reasons why we can't register. It's a convoluted process and it doesn't work and there is no rhyme or reason to this madness, regardless of what platform you use.
My last post describes my acceptance of the futility of hoping this thread will accomplish anything positive but I am persuing a couple of other means of getting our issues resolved. In the meantime I sincerely hope this thread stays alive in the off chance someone at Bioware takes notice. But as it appears that Bioware is ignoring this and the myriad of other concerns that have been brought forward in various threads, I really don't think they are listening.
I would like to be proven wrong, but I am grievously doubtful.

I'm just going to try my luck on this one. I haven't played yet but Amazon should give me my copy soon enough. I do have my GT properly linked to my EA/BSN account and everything, so I theoretically shouldn't have a problem.
Good Luck, Phoenix. I hope it works for you. You will probably need to sign into the EA servers prior to registering, which means you'll need to play an EA game on line first. (I think that's how it works)
Let us know how you make out.

So pretty much because I don't play online and don't have a gamertag means I can't register my game? What kinda crap is that?
Good luck to anyone still trying to find a way to solve this. I'm all out of ideas of my own.

PC users do have issues, too - though it's mostly an email address thing from what little I've heard. Basically, if you sign into Origin/ME3 with a different email address than the one you're using for BSN, the game registers itself and is locked in for that email address.Spitfire_mcguire wrote...
For the most part, are the people playing on Xbox and PS3 really the only ones having trouble registering? Any PC players having trouble as well?
Or something along those lines. Horror stories.

There have been mods here but they haven't been able to offer anything constructive.
BTW...I see you have been posting on "This is the only Section I can post in - And I'm not the only one!" thread too. Hey, good for you. the more Bioware is seeing these problems, perhaps they might do something.

To the best of my knowledge, this is the crux of the problem - and the reason behind all the frustration.Spitfire_mcguire wrote...
There is something I still don't understand...if you don't have a Origin account (or even a BSN one for that matter) and you play ME3 for the first time, with a internet connection (through xbox-live for me), it automatically logs into the EA servers. Right? So does it automatically, using magic or something, create a Origin account for you as well? And how does it magically get your email address as well?

To put it quite bluntly, whoever was responsible for this design decision should go back to school and retake Software Engineering 101 immediately. As I believe I've mentioned earlier, if you know anything about good software design, you'll recognize that such a thing shouldn't have made it past the first testcase.

...It's the same issue for me on the PS3. It automatically attached ME3 to my Wife's Origin account because she had been playing Kingdom's of Amalaur (EA) before I started ME3. Basically, it auto-signed in under her email address, therefore her Origin account.
