I just figured out how I registered my ME3 for the xbox. I had made a new gamertag/free xbox live account, attached the email I use here, and must have played ME3 on it. I didn't even have to put in that code from my receipt again.
Nefla... I'd hug you if I could!
I don't know why I didn't think of this ^^^ before... but IT WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sure, all of my DLC is still registered under my PS3's other user's email addy.... but at least I've gained access! (didn't even need a new online pass!).

Nefla, were you able to keep any DLC (the collector editon stuff if you have it ) or can you transfer everything over to the new account?
I have thought of doing that but I am afraid of losing all the goodies I got with the CE because those codes are already redeemed.

Wait, I just thought of something. You can still use the already existing XBL account to play ME3 on too right. So you wouldn't lose the content. You created the new account purely for the purpose of registering
the game, correct?
That's how it works for me. I play under the same email address I always have on my PS3, which is not the email address I use for BSN, and registered the game with a new PSN account I made, which uses the same email address as my BSN account.

I post on a thread and immediately decide to edit but can't because the thread was relocated to the spoiler board in the 4 minutes between submissions
Is there any hope for console gamers whose consoles are not connected to the internet?
Should I PM Chris Priestly to ask him?

CmndrFisher: Yeah I don't plan to use the new gamertag (it was originally for my DA:O spillover characters) so I don't know if it will transfer the DLC but I don't really care. It's all on my original gamertag and the new one is just for the BSN.

Silly me...I had another profile on my 360 I created a few years ago that I never used for some reason. I checked the profile and it had the same email address I use here. I signed out of my usual profile and used the old one to launch ME3, went through the registration steps prompted by the EA Servers and low and behold...here I am!
You know, it's refreshing yet dumbfounding at the same time that we can rely on each other to work out problems on our own. The convoluted EA help pages didn't do anything at all. Yet if wasn't for your recent post about using another gamertag and King Jason's post as well I would not have thought ot check the old profile I had.
Now I feel bad for those still strugling. I will be watching this thread and still post in it like you are and hopefully help others...seems we can't rely on the powers that be to come up with alternaive solutions.

Unfortunately, I don't think there's a way to work around this issue without any Xbox Live (or PSN) account at all.

PC. I got the Collector's Edition, but my brother registered it to his account. I went out and bought a new one, but for some reason, it refuses to register.

I just tried going into the ME3 PC support forum to post your issue but I guess because I am a 360 registered owner it won't let me..." You don not meet the requirements...blah, blah. blah."....
Anyways, It probably has something to do with the fact you share something with your brother. I don't know how it works with PC accounts but can you try using an old user name or creating a new one like a few of us 360 users have?

The thing is, I don't share an Origin account with my brother, just the game. I'm not sure if that would have anything to do with it, but I think I might go pick up a cheap copy of the 360 version just to try and register it. I hate having to spend unecessary money, but I also hate being stuck in this forum all the time.

Great stuff , Han!!!...me too..just a little while ago. As I said in a post a few above yours, it's great we can help each other out rather than relying on those guys who call themselves Electronic Arts – World Wide Customer Experience.
Don't get me started, after all this BS, I'll say something stupid and get my self permabanned.

~sighs~...I don't know what to suggest, GE. If you do buy a 360 copy, just make sure the email address and gamertag all matches up. That seems to have been a major problem with us 360 users. I still can't figure out why my gamertag that I play with wasn't recognized. The email addresses match, passwords match, ..I dunno...If it wasn't for the old 360 profile I never used, I'd still be in the same position you are. Annoying, isn't it?

Can you summarize how you got your game registered so that I can add it in the original post of this topic? That way people that have the same problem and access the topic can easily find new alternatives to try to work through the issue rather than read through the entire length of it.

I've never tried it. Probably wouldn't know how even if I wanted to. But I'd rather keep the internet far, far away from my consoles. I've had terrible luck with it destroying computers beyond repair, wouldn't want the same thing to happen here.CmndrFisher wrote...

Well, if you can run an ethernet cable directly from your modem to your console you should be ok.
