Thanks! The suggestions in this thread certainly helped! :wizard:

Dropped into the game store across the street and managed to snag myself a copy for 20 bucks. It was suprisingly easy to register.

I think Bioware owes Nefla a job... maybe some money, at least, for being a better representative for the company than EA/Bioware's pathetic customer service COMBINED!!!

Hey, I'm so glad that most of you guys got your game registered! Then there's still hope that others will, too. However, this should have been done with the help of moderators, and the problem should not have been present in the first place at all.

Can you summarize how you got your game registered so that I can add it in the original post of this topic? That way people that have the same problem and access the topic can easily find new alternatives to try to work through the issue rather than read through the entire length of it.

Sent you a PM about this.

I third the idea of giving Nefla jobs, money, and/or shoes Image IPB

I'm so glad this worked for some of you guys! It was my last ditch effort and I didn't even think it worked at first Image IPB

Well, Nefla, you deserve something. It's great to see that us forum members can come together to help each other out once in a while instead of flaming and hating, as is so commonplace in here sometimes. I think Bioware should definatley take note of what has been happening in this thread.

That being said, If anyone is interested, I have a two day XBL Gold Membership code that I don't need. If anyone has an internet connection for your 360 but no XBL membership and want to use it to help register your game, let me know. It's yours for the asking. The first person without the ME3 badge under their name who PM's me, gets it.. Maybe you can use it to download some free demos and other goodies too.

Image IPB If this does happen, be sure to recommend a spoiler forum for the non-registered.

I hope BioWare does see this and will direct others who have problems with the registration here, since your solution seems like it will solve the majority of problems. +100 Paragon points for you!

To those of you without an internet connection, do you know anyone who does have xbox live/PS3 equivalent? Maybe you can make a dummy gamertag at their house using your BSN email?

I added a new line in the OP for Xbox 360 users that are faced with this problem thanks to you guys - hopefully what you figured out will help others that also can't register their games because of that fact. I don't know whether this solution also works for PC or other platforms.

I thought about that too, but I don't know anyone else with an Xbox (or any other game system).

I think I found a solution to register my ME3, which I believe would be easier than trying to switch my email address or go through another hour long session with a EA guy who has no idea what to do.

I have another windows live account, which means another Xbox live account as well, which I really only use for Dawn of War II on PC. So, following the same thing I did for my ORIGINAL xbox account (the one with the ****ed up email), I put this new gamertag into the EA/Origin forgot password search, and EA has not account on file.

So, if a BSN account is a Origin account, this means I would have to create another account on this site (I don't care if it means breaking the rules...fix your damn registration system then EAware), using the same email address associated with this new and unused account, then play ME3 (either before or after I create a new account)....it should connect. Am I right?

This new BSN account would just be used to post in the "Spoiler forums," nothing more. Would love to hear some input before I try this.

^Geuss what everybody...my above experiment worked. I managed to register my copy of ME3 by using my unused xbox gamertag and my new BSN account (Spitfire017). Do I consider this a victory...**** no!!! Why did I have to create a new account just to register!?! It is utterly ridiculous!!

My old account will just be used for Dragon Age I geuss.

Hey, Spitfire, glad you finally were able to do so.Image IPB

WE all seemed to have found a variation of a workaround (at least for us console players).  But you are absolutely right.  We should not have had to do these things, especially finding a solution on our own (with much of the credit going to Nefla).  It's more of an "unclean" victory if anything.  And after many of us driven to utter disgust with EA Help.

Now, if Bioware would only take note of this and try to put something in place for the 360/PS3 players who don't have an internet connection.

Silly me...I had another profile on my 360 I created a few years ago that I never used for some reason.  I checked the profile and it had the same email address I use here.

How/Where do you check to find the email associated with your gamertag? is it the Windows Live messanger? I think my registering troubles might be because of a difference in emails but im not sure.

I tried all over to find out the email associated with my gamertag including live.com but I couldn't find out a way. It was only when I randomly loaded DA2 (and connected to EA servers through it I guess) that the long lost mystery email popped up on the screen saying something like "logged in as blah@blah.com"

hmm... When I was having one of those email tags with EA Support (which always ends in failure), the only thing I got out of it was the email associated with my gamertag was not the same one as my EA account. They of course refused to show the whole account name OR tell me how to change it so I was left in sort of a pickle. I could always do the create a new xbox account thing I saw earlier in the thread but I want my Multiplayer Manifest connected, and to do that my accounts need to be linked. But jeez this seems like SOO much hassle! I've been having linking problems since BF3 and that was in OCTOBER! EA Support will forever go down as the worst company support I have ever had contact with.

Halfanhour,  I don't know if there is anything in this link that will help, but you might find something. Since I don't play MP, I'm not sure how saved data works for that., so this link may be redundant, maybe not.

http://www.xbox360fo...another-profile

Also, have you tried XBL Help?. If you explain to them that you need to create a new gamertag cuz EA are being such dicks, they may be quite helpful given that they might want to look good against a competitor.  But be forewarned, most of the info I have seen on transferring data between XBL profiles doesn't look good.

I hope you can get what your after.  Many of us who have been participating in this thread seem to have been rooting for each other and offering suggestions but in the end, it appears to be luck of the draw for anyone who has been able to resolve their own particular issues some have been successful, other's not so much....and yeah, Everyone here will agree that EA Help is a real horror show.

Good luck, let us know how you make outImage IPB

Ok so after some hours of research and thinking, my two options are either: PM Christ Priestly to get help directly or follow EA Support's help and sign into EA through one of their demos. The latter probably wont happen as it takes me forever to download stuff due to my slow internet connection and both EA demos I did download had their servers shut down (You can imagine the talk I had with EA about THAT one). Today is Memorial day so i'll be back later today. I will give updates if everything works out.

Just wanted to thank everyone here for trying to help in these unfortunate circumstances. Image IPB

Edit: I really want my main account connected so I can have my correct multiplayer manifest, but if worse comes to worse I will create a new XBL account with the right email to post on these forums, because damn I want to!

Did you ever change your email address?

I that was what was causing the problem on my end. When I first joined Xbox live I used a different internet provider. When I changed providers I also changed the email address associated with my Xbox live account. While it was the same address I used for EA/Origin, somewhere along the line there is an error that isn't recognizing the change. To be fair, that could be a Miscrosft issue and not one with EA. *shrugs*

At any rate the only way around it for me was to take Nefla's suggestion and create a new live account to register ME3.

Me too!  Strange isn't it?  I've scrolled through the threads in the spoiler section and added my two cents in a few frivolous threads and realized I had not much to add to what has already been posted.  I guess my biggest beef was not being able to download the CE soundtrack.

Another thing as well, I sort of felt a degree of commeraderie with the folks in this thread and I am always checking back in here to see new posts.  Oh, and I also want to help, if I can, others who are still unable to register.  It's funny how a "cause" draws you to stay with something.

Well, you can keep playing with the profile you have your manifest on, I think,... pretty sure.  but if you just want to post in the other forums and such, then go with Nefla's/Han's approach.  For me, I used an old gamertag that seemed to sync just to register my game but I will still be using the main gamertag for all my ME saves/files/gameplay.

But it still confounds me how EA can not recognize the history of gameplay...all my DLC from ME2, all the downloadables I got with the ME3 CE, all the saves I made while signed into XBL and by extension the EA servers....I'd better stop, my blood pressure is going to go up again...

The BSN is dead now compared to the first month after release. I suspect things will pick up slightly after the EC gets released.

Same here. I used to post mostly in character threads, and in some ways it's similar to what we have in this thread - the regulars do become like comrades after a while, and if anyone has a question, there's always a bunch of people around who will gladly help.

It's too bad you guys don't have much to talk about now that you finally have access to the spoiler forums though. I guess that can be expected, after waiting nearly three months.
