The GE has no incinerate or warp to deal with armour so their weapon is all they have, taking a light weight smg or rifle is nerfing yourself pretty hard on this class.
Im not saying the Geth rifle and SMG dont work on gold just that they arent that great.

if i wanna switch it up, i'll sacrifice cooldowns a touch (since hunter mode gives a slight cooldown bonus) i might slap on my valiant (i guess viper and mantis could conceivably both work).
edit: now that i think about it, pretty much any weapon that keeps your cooldown at a reasonable level will work. hunter mode and the geth turret makes for a very versatile character.

I've tried a bunch, and my favorites are:
1. Raptor
2. Mattock
3. GPS
I'm on a PC though, so can take advantage of the uber fire rate of the first two guns. I usually place higher with the GPS, but it's not as good at running and gunning (so less survivability). Plus, I refuse to use the GPS on anything but my GI because it gets really boring if you use it too much.
Runner ups are Hurricane and Carnifex. I don't like the kick back of the Hurricane, but if I have a stability mod 3 on me, I'll switch out to it sometimes to mix it up. The Carnifex is a really great choice too, but like the GPS, I'm kind of sick of it, so I avoid it when I can.
Geth Engineer and Drell Adept are my goto classes for Gold.

GPS.
This. Throw on Choke and the Barrel and remember to charge your GPS. I wouldn't even bother with Hunter mode (unless you want to snipe) on this character as you can't really cloak, you become squishier than an Asari when you should be supporting (ie. staying alive). Also, health regen on turret is great.

Avenger X with extended magazine and penetrator mod and GPSMG with Ultralight mats and extended magazine. if your GPR is high enough (5 or higher should be ok), switch it in for the Anvenger and change the mods to penetrator and extended barrel.Mohamed Yaseen wrote...
Apart from throwing geth turret and chain overload, i need perfect weapon setup to take down medium and large target without compromising recharging load.
Any suggestion?
take ammunition powers as well - i tend to stick with multi-role ammunition like Incendiary or Warp for unknowns, if you are picking a single enemy type, go with their weakness - Disruptor for Geth, Disruptor or Warp for Cerb, Incendiary for Reapers. the rail amplifiers are also useful - i tend to stick with the assault rifle rail amp because that's my primary weapon.

Cooldown bonus from Hunter mode level 4 in addition to Networked AI level 4 give a very reasonable cooldown for overload. I play this class extensively on Gold and have no problems finishing first nearly every game because OL + Charged Shots + Hunter Mode Hax = everything but boss enemies melt (you can use abilities with the GPS charged and NOT lose the charge, allowing you to fire after overloading something or tossing a turrent which is awesome).

Falcon is good too but terrible against large targets.

Geth plasma shotgun, nothing else comes close really.
I wanted to say this is my post but feared being attacked by people who felt other guns were better :/
I second the above feelings.
You do not need Overload to be THAT fast (reason for choosing say, Carnifex X), and the GPS kills everything better than any other gun on GE really. Plus, you don't even have to be good at aiming so it's easy relaxing mode!
That being said, there is obviously nothing wrong with using something like the Carnifex X seeing as it's basically the best light gun in the entire game (possibly the best gun period? lol), but why would you want to use a gun you have to aim and fire multiple shots (and go for headshots) when you can shoot HOMING PLASMA ROUNDS that destroy everything!?

Really? You know every time you use overload your ROF windup gets reset? The Geth SMG is probably the worst weapon to use when spamming powers.Ciam wrote...
I use the GPSMG, fast reload and nice when you spam overload.
I would take the Claymore or GPS depening on wether you plan on speccing Hunter mode or not.
