 How do you use it? Just playing around with it I noticed a fast reload with a four round clip. Damage seems a little weak for an ultra rare.

It's by far not the worst gun, but for an N7 I expect more. It's useless to me, single shot shotgun and it doesn't even do much damage.

 I got this gun as a reward for Raptor (i think) and then for Exorcist operations. Even at rank 2, this gun sucks. Maybe I just don't pair it up well with the right classes but it just doesn't seem to have much kick and a tiny clip. Last thing I wanted for exorcist operation was rank II Crusader, and thats exactly what i got.

I do alright with it on silver... The accuracy is perfect so i headshot everything around. The bigger stuff... Dunno

well it fires a slug so you'll have to for headshots with it.

I tried it once and felt the recoil to be the biggest issue with it. But I think I will give it another go with a turian to compensate and make follow-up headshots easier.
maybe than it is not so bad... apart from its incredible weight issue.

I had a dream that bioware upped the crusader that it also provides modest splash damage.

I use it all the time on my TS, it's my favourite gun in the game. If you're good at headshots you'll kill enemies very quickly with it.

it's a gun that is doomed in its concept from the beginning,

it's supposed to be a hybrid between a shotgun and a sniper rifle, but all it achieves in doing is combining the shortcomings of both with the advantages of neither.

until bioware decides to make it ignore shield gating like the harpoon gun, it is an utterly useless hybrid.

I have one, but I can't really think of any reason to use it over a sabre (or a sniper rifle for that matter).

If it weighed half as much as it does now or had significantly less recoil it might be a different story, but all it is currently is a ridiculously heavy semi-auto sniper rifle without a scope.

The one redeeming quality I can think of is that its good at killing guardians I guess.

I really like it on my human infiltrator - the pin point accuracy and some punch. Find it much more usefull than a black widow I i aslo use on that build.

Human Soldier geared towards frag grenades (which are unaffected by the weight/cooldown loss):

Crusader + Adrenaline Rush = LOTS of damage (4 shots, adrenalin, 4 shots) it's one of the quickest ways to take down brutes and atlases.

It also punches through armour so Guardians are 1 shot kills.

BUT it is a headshotters weapon; if you can't headshot it's almost useless, and that being the case it's badly affected by lag.

It's too heavy for any class I enjoy playing, and it has the same latency problems as the Graal and Kishock.

I throw it on my Quarian Engineer, tossing out my flamethrower turret to cause the crowd to panic and cover me, and then I headshot everything. The headshots are GLORIOUS.

Also, it's super fun on any Infiltrator. When you cloak, you don't even need a headshot. Would recommend one with grenades, though.

It's pretty hilarious to get your Golden 20 Headshots medal with it before the sniper on your team does. My record is end of Wave 3 on Silver and end of Wave 6 on Gold.

shield gating is why SI with their ED are pretty much the only infiltrators that ever use a single shot SR like the m98 widow in gold matches nowadays.

You do realise that the Crusader is not single shot right? Its a multi shot (as in more than 1 bullet in a clip) gun like the BW.

4 headshots to kill a geth pyro in Bronze is kinda silly. And very frustrating.

Only tried it once, though. I may give it another chance. But I didn't like it very much, even though I'm a big fan of the shotguns in this game.

If it had a reasonable weight (Wraith range for instance) I might actually use it from time to time, but it doesn't so I don't.

The Crusader is all about headshots, that's why it is my favorite shotgun. Its is the only shotgun, beside the geth plasma shotgun, that is meant for long range.
