If it was taking 4 shots - you weren't headshotting... if you try to fire the Crusader too fast, it misses, if you have any lag, it misses... and because it fires a single slug rather than scattershot a miss, basically, does no damage.

Try hosting a game (no lag) and waiting for the recoil to completely subside before firing off each round... you'll notice it does significantly more damage. Get it right and it does absolutely beastly damage - combine it with Adrenaline Rush and you can outkill snipers on a good day - but you need to be accurate and you need to be patient... it's not a shotgunners shotgun.

on pyros your not supposed to aim at the head, your supposed to aim at the canister on their back. It takes 2 shots to make them explode. 1 shot if you weapon has a SRA [shotgun rail amp].

I'm farming a game of Geth on gold to try it out with EBarrel V and Shredder Mod 5 but holy crap you need to sit next to an ammo box. If you can aim good this is probably a beastly gun at high levels. ROF and reload times and accuracy are good. I think im going to farm Geth and just try shotguns today..gun is way to heavy to b used right now though. Won't use it again unless it's leveled up which will never happen.

Agreed, tbh the only reason its not a staple weapon for me is due to its stupid high recoil.

Pyros, hunters, whatever. I don't remember what they were, just that it was taking me ages to kill anything during that match.

To anyone saying the crusader sucks or **** like that. Crusader has about the same damage as a black widow 1, maybe more with the damage mod, and is more accurate than most sniper rifles with the choke mod. Only a complete idiot treats it as a shotgun. I treat it as a high powered fast semi auto, pinpoint accurate medium range rifle. OR in short. an elephant gun. It is an awesome fire support and anti armor gun. Despite its weight, i find use for it with my inf. and soldier classes.

Takes 1 shot if you got the shredder/any other penetration mod:whistle:

So you'd rather get the Eagle 2? This can at least do something. Marksman + ths can deal a lot of damage if used well...(I don' have it but in SP it RAPED enemies so fast it was funny)

I've got the crusader from last commendation pack, and used it once and didn't like it much.

I generally don't like semi auto guns which takes long time between shots, such as eviscerator.

Crusader was no exception.

Granted it is more of a sniper rifle than a shotgun, but I'd rather use claymore than the crusader as it is more versatile.

Claymore is better as a shotgun but with the right setup the Crusader can be good too.
I think its main problem is that it weighs as much as the Claymore but is about half as versatile and useless at CQC.
If you can't see that a SHOTGUN with almost 1/2 bar of ACCURACY and NO CIRCULAR CROSSHAIR isn't a "real" shotgun, you need help.

Actually - at low levels which, let's face it, we're all going to have low levels atm if we've got Crusaders - the Crusader weighs a LOT more than the Claymore X.

It's alright at CQC if you fire it from the hip - weirdly. I can't count the number of times I've walked around a corner, right into a baddie, and reflex-headshotted it from the hip for an insta-kill... but yeah, once the Crusader is at level X it might be a much better bet - at low levels it's just so damned heavy (despite the other problems I've mentioned previously).

I don't really get on with the Claymore apart from on an Infiltrator - it's great as a one hit kill weapon... but that's all you've got since it only takes one round in the breach. I actually prefer the Eviscerator or, if I'm playing Vanguard/Justicar the Disciple.

My favorite shotgun in the game! Not sure if I've ever used if with anything other than a krogan but I don't think the character class should matter. I put damage up and increased the clip size and always go for the headsot. Its accuracy is insane. I'm not trying to sound like a dick but I cant imagine how you could use it in a wrong way? I hope eventually everyone gets the chance to unlock it, I have a feeling its going to be the best N7 unlockable there is. I wish I could get the Valiant to really test this theory.

It's a decent weapon though it's single slug really means your more effective withGPS/Graal/Claymore for a shotgun and if your sniping with it I'd recommendn just using the Javelin/Valiant/Widow/Black Widow
