Con
- Heavy
- Can't shield-gate because its single slug
Pro
- 4 Shots so the Shield Gate issue is out the door
- The sound it makes is pretty cool
- If you play a Shotgun infiltrator the weight no longer becomes an issue, or a Krogan whatever.
IMO its a fun weapon to use I wish I had it on my PC and not the PS3. Between it and the Valiant they're my go to fav weapons for my Krogan Soldier and Infiltrator whatever.

Valiant and Paladin are better options if you've got them. I really haven't found a use for the Crusader that isn't already fulfilled by another weapon.
Point of the gun being is that it is pinpoint accurate without a scope and has a good damage with good fire rate and and built in AP. It is the only one of its kind, And its perfect for people who dont need to be glued to a scope to get headshots off. Also it allows you to be accurate, without losing the overall picture of the front like you do with a scope.
so tell me which weapon fullfills those
Valiant sure as hell doesnt, as its no where near pinpointa accurate out of zoom, and has no AP.
And paladin? has no AP built in either. and isnt as accurate as a crusader can be.
The gun is perfect for soldiers looking for a high powered rifle without zoom. or for any other people who know their way around the game and a lil CD increase doesnt hurt them

It's by far not the worst gun, but for an N7 I expect more. It's useless to me, single shot shotgun and it doesn't even do much damage.
0/10 out the airlock.

For that reason, I end up using it on almost all melee chars, except for ones that have some skill to close distance.

For LONG range i go for body shots or prioritise boss units from afar.
Medium range overload or proxi to stagger and go for the headshots.
Close range same as medium range or when i have no power usage due to the cooldown i go for bodyshots but still try to headshot.
I played ALLOT with this gun to be "adjusted" to it and love it, off host it can kill phantoms with one headshot and a bodyshot. But its better suited when you are the host or if off host then it needs to be from some one who has a good connection for example a friend. Pugging off host is often times tricky due to the lag and even blank shots...
It really starts to shine if you use a characters which can stagger its enemies specially if youre new to the weapon. After a while you can headshot enemies without these aiding tools. Bosses die quickly what else is to be said then a darn fine weapon.

OT: I used it today in a gold PuG because I finally maxed the PoS out. I wanted to commit sudoku after that match. Phantoms suck when you have no acolyte and can't proc their stupid bubble.

It can penetrate their bubble with one headshot and a bodyshot IF your off host and using a proxi mine but then again im using this weapon only with the GE and GI the GI has damage bonuses when cloacked and further HM damage. I never used it on non Geth characters so maybe this means more shots needed even more then four to kill them phantoms....

I have only been using the Crusader over the past few months. It has become my weapon of choice and i became an expert at aiming with it and doing headshots at any range.
I understand some people find the Crusader too heavy or too difficult at aiming with. But! Once you get some practice, the aiming is not a problem anymore.
Why do i LOVE the Crusader?
1 ) You can hit anything at full power at any range. No need for a scope at long range and you can still hit stuff at full power at point blank range.
2) Fast reloading even if you do not use reload cancel. More shots than the Raider or the Wraith before reload.
3) You CAN install a Omniblade without losing anything. You do NOT need a Smart Choke.
4) Innate piercing and you can stack the dual mod Damage/Piercing over all that.
So, if you are good at aiming but also like to hit hard in melee, the Crusader is great.
PS: I play Silver and Gold, no Platinum. I can vouch for the Crusader in Gold match, it gets the job done and you do not need to be an infiltrator and a cloak bonus to hit hard with it. Just go for the head, always the head.
My favorite characters for the Crusader : Juggernaut , Batarian Soldier, Krogan Sentinel, Sexbot, Destroyer and Demolitionist.

On host. I was using a Hsol without concussive shot and frags weren't proccing the bubble. 8 shots to the face later and the stupid thing was still walking around with like 50% barriers left.
