Sten is not baddest but he went rather high on my list, he murdered a family of farmers and dont really feel sad about it, this becomes clear when you find his sword, apparently that was all he really cared about, what about that family he murdered because of the same sword? Who cares he got his sword back right.

Edit: I'd say Branka and Uldred aswell, however they were deluded and demented nutjobs, one being possessed by a demon and the other had her brain turn to mush by the anvil..

Branka is a power hungry insane wench who sold her entire noble house to the Darkspawn just to have more bodies to try and circumvent some crappy traps.



I know Anora has a lot of haters but i'm starting to think it's some kind of weird jealousy. Branka is seriously just... damn... takes the cake of female dirtbags in the game.

I think it's because he conscripts you even if you say you don't want to be a Gray Warden.  My Human Noble tried that; she didn't want to be a Warden, she wanted to go hunt down Howe, kill him, rescue her brother, and come home again.  But noooooo...  Of course, in the end she became Princess Consort and the hero of Ferelden, so she forgave Duncan.  Even if she does only have another 28 years to live or so.

Vaughn is my choice for biggest dirtbag, followed closely by Loghain with Howe hot on his heels. 

Vaughn for using the elven alienage like a grocery store for rape victims.  "I'll take one of those, that one over there, two of these, and I guess the bride."

Loghain for killing anyone who died at Ostagar after he pulled his troops out (some would have died anyway, but with no way to know who would have died and who would have survived, he gets all the blame) including Duncan and Cailan; for selling people into slavery; for poisoning Arl Eamon; for hiring assassins because he was too much of a **** to come after me himself.

Howe for taking everything, killing everyone, and still thinking he deserved more.  The man literally had no soul, just a vast sucking void.

But Loghain before Howe because without Loghain's backing and support, Howe would never have been able to do a fraction of what he did.  Howe had limited power until he became Loghain's right-hand man.  All the people he slaughtered, all the horrible things he arranged, only came to fruition because Loghain gave him the nod.  So the buck stops on Loghain's head... which I have removed from his shoulders every time I got to Landsmeet.

As annoying as Morrigan is sometimes (even to me), getting to really know her reveals just how monstrously abusive her upbringing was. Now multiply that by hundreds of children down the centuries. IMO, Flemeth is the single most evil being we encounter during the entire game, including the archdemon. At least the archdemon did not voluntarily go out and seek its state change into what it became.

The reason Flemeth isn't on most peoples list is because she hasn't done anything to the player directly, everything we know about her is through Morrigan or legends..... and who knows if she is even the same flemeth or not. 
Bottomline she hasn't done anything bad to us so shes not on the list, in fact she saved us from certain death (even if it was for her own selfish reasons) 

PS: according to Morrigan Flemeth's parenting was better than other normal peoples parenting as it made her (morrigan) "stronger"

Exactly, the above accusations of Flemeth are all going on heresay, tales and legends. I am guessing some people have either just gone to kill her outright and didn't bother paying attention to anything she said in the first encounter or wasn't paying attention at all to the things she said.

One of her responses to you stating that Morrigan knows how she extends her lifespan is "Yes she does, the question is, do you?"

As selfish as her reasons for saving you maybe, the fact is, she did save you and whilst you may believe hers and morrigans intentions regarding the ritual maybe bad, the fact is, they are once again ensuring your survival. If they were really the evil you think that they are, surely they would ensure you are dead and thus can't tell anyone how you survived the ritual?

As much as I agree with some of the others with regards the definition of dirtbag ruling some of the 'evil' characters out, I still think Howe falls into the dirtbag category as he is someone whom has wormed his way to where he has got and takes great delight in twisting the knife in his victims. Shoe will be well and truly on the other foot everytime I play as a Human Noble. Going to constantly take great delight in pounding him into dust.

This man was engineered to be the biggest, most despicable entity this side of the fade.
But honestly? I think the biggest dirtbag... hang with me on this one... is... THE MAKER!
An anthropomorphic deity so whimsical and despondent, that regardless of the actual truth, he falls well short of being worthy of worship.
Never mind that he is allegedly frolicking with one of his own creations, it is his incompetent tinkering with creation that gave birth to spirits, and since he messed THEM up, he came up with mortals (by the way, though the chantry would have you believe the maker is a he, is there really any proof of this??).
Then as a result of the actions of overambitious mortals (which is the VERY reason he created humans after spirits: emotion, ambition etc) nearing his "perfect" city, he flips the switch and leaves US to deal with HIS mess, but then is hypocritical enough to justify his seduction of an ALREADY married mortal. Honestly the Maker is the single cause for all harm in Thedas, including all the aforementioned dirtbags (howe,branka, vaugh) since... we were made in his image lol. If anything, all the beauty and brilliance that exists in Thedas, does so in SPITE of him.

Omg yes, Shaperate's Blessing. He rubs it in your face and even updates your codex for the 2h sword.


Also, I wish we got to really kill Howe.. Howe just died of his wounds after cursing the player.. We should have done something really satisfying like

Biggest D-bags have to be that family of robbed elves in lothering. Stinking lying elves. They were probably never robbed and were just taking the opportunity to get free stuff. Can never trust those elves, especially when they claim to have owned anything.....since they excel at poverty.
