Man, this degenerated into quite the argument. . .

Here's the thing: If we haven't seen the females of a particular species, then here's a new challenge to see if you can deliver, BioWare. The fans want it, it would (essentially) add a depth to the universe you've created, and if handled right (That is, a gender selection option when choosing your character/class) it will please fans.

For lore fanatics: Just because they haven't been seen doesn't mean they don't exist. Garrus has a sister, though we've never seen her. Is she not real? There are plenty of infertile Krogan females, many of which are used as scouts or such (as said in ME2), so they're plausable. Salarian females, by Word of God are rare, but the Dalatrass = 1. So they exist. Drell females haven't been seen, but considering they're not an all-female race like the Asari, it's safe to assume they exist too. In fact, it's safe to assume any race, except the Asari or anything already stated as only being one gender, has males and females. . . AND the N7 Special Ops (your multiplayer team) is supposed to be an unofficial unit made of people who have decided to fight. Why should anyone be left out?

Prothean-lovers: Let's compromise a bit. Protheans, except Javik, are extinct. So yes, continuity-wise, they wouldn't fit. HOWEVER, purely for the sake of player enjoyment, BioWare could reintroduce the Protheans if fans/they wanted it enough. Possibly even through a DLC story that follows the Protheans in their fight against the Reapers, during their time.

Lastly, it really just comes down to freedom of choice, not logic, lore, believability, or anything else. People just want the freedom to choose. I like female characters. Whenever I get the choice, I pick a female. That's why even with the Male Quarian Engineer being introduced, I'll probably still main my female QE. Because I can, and I like to. Also why I've never played a male human anything in the game. IF I had the choice, I'd choose a female Turian, or Drell, or whatever else. That's just me though. None of the other things I mentioned really affect my choice, save for if they're available or not.

Making a character female doesn't automatically make it "interesting" and "awesome".

We're all for interesting and awesome classes and dlc.

So long as it does not break lore.

If the only interesting DLC you can think of is adding female Krogan, you have a nonexistant imagination. There are plenty of more sensible scenarios that can be added before they need to start destroying characters in SP.

Actually I could name a lot actuall like the n7 squads fighting a reaper destroyer or working their hardest to defeat a powerful reaper or perhaps them having to work together to defeat harbinger since we never personally got to defeat harbinger in singleplayer


Or fight rogue krogan factions or another factions on a tuchanka map while avoiding the thresher maw so always moving around or the thresher maw will eat you or avoiding a reaper destroyers energy beam that destroys cover while battling the enemy

But no you lore whiners will end up destroying any possible interesting dlc I'm sure of it

You know why you'll never see dlc like this because you will cry about lore and this cool bit of stuff will never be added

Posting this again, for anyone who hasn't read the last few pages.

Salarian females: Only politicians. Unlikely/Impossible
Turian females: Soldiers like males. Would work perfectly.
Drell females: Too little known about them. No actual female Drell model is provided.
Vorcha females: Don't even know if they have females, or if they look different from males.
Krogan females: Unlikely, due to cure of genophage requiring them to stay on Tuchanka and breed.

Exactly for freedom of choice I don't want awesome mp dlc wether new additions to races or new maps and or new objectives to not be added for people crying about lore for multiplayer

Existing does not automatically place them on a spec ops team. The last time I checked I existed, but I doubt if they're letting me on a spec ops team any time soon.

Thane also mentions having a wife, so it's safe to assume that they have Drell females. Drell are a fairly big unknown right now for a lot of things, so it's entirely possible for them to add it into MP, if they want to make a brand new model and animations for it.

Turians also fit, as Garrus mentions them being in the military in ME2, as well one being one of the top ranked hand to hand specialists on that ship, along with Garrus.

You want to know what breaks ****ing lore The vorcha have never fought for thee alliance they have only been in merc bands or causing chaos where ever they are seen including on Omega they always been scum bags or hateful towards other races and The vorcha never really allied themselves to the alliance so why the hell would they do that in mp cause once again

Lore doesn't always need to follow mp espically in HORDE MODE their is nothing loreish about fighting the same enemies on the same maps several times over again

Beating a Reaper Destroyer, or avoiding a Thresher Maw aren't lore breaking. Both of them happen in single player, even at the same time.

Complaining that the pro-lore people are going to "ruin everything" isn't going to help your argument any.

that's a huge leap from "female krogans dont make sense" to it now equalling (sp?) the destruction of all possible fun ideas...there are plenty of awesome ideas and fun ideas that make sense with lore, female krogans just aren't one of them.

I'm just saying despite gender equality you screaming lore to automaticlly add a decent dlc for some of us female players who wouldn't mind playing as a female krogan seems down right silly another one is that not only this but we have people ****ing about more humans being added but you know what the vorcha working with the alliance in mp is already breaking lore and youll use the lore card to stop any dlc wether interesting or not from ever being made because it doesn't follow your taste of lore

well mp gets run into the ground because of lore cryers for the mp on horde mode NOTHING LOREISH ABOUT FIGHTING THE SAME WAVES OF ENEMIES ON THE SAME MAPS 10 0r 20 times obiously the n7 people aren't gonna keep killing the same enemies all day and obviously the reapers , geth and cerberus will run out of forces altogether eventually it is horde mode Not Multiplayer rpg mode or have you not played gears of war or deadspace?

The people complaining about more humans are being silly, or just wanting to play a new species(which Krogan female is not).

They in no way break lore. Vorcha don't really either since Blood Pack are working with the Alliance.

If you want more females in MP, then go for Turian or Drell. I support both of them getting females because it can fit the lore.

Krogan female still don't though, and never really will in ME3.

okay , the vorcha being in mp doesnt break lore. In sp , sheprd can unite the mercs under aria as a war assett...bam, makes sense some of those merc vorcha are in n7 forces in mp...if it makes sense with lore, ya can have it fem...so have turians,drell,batarians whatever...its just salarians and krogans that dont make sense with lore...

It's not following our "taste" of lore.

Lore is pre-established by Bioware.

Bioware have said that:

- Salarian females are 1) Not soldiers and 2) Limited in number. So no Female Salarian soldiers.

- So you've, cured the Genophage? Doesn't matter, Krogans are limited in number, and with the Reaper Invasion, they're on the verge of extinction. Krogan females are utterly indisposable for the survival of the species. Every. Last. One.

These things are told to you in the singleplayer game.

Multiplayer is linked to singleplayer.

Therefore singleplayer lore matters for multiplayer.

If it can't happen in SP; it wont happen in MP.
