As i recall there was a way to manually edit the numbers to give you what you need if you're lacking.

How is it that i would do this? i no longer plan on playing the MP but i don't want my ending to get hosed by not having a high enough EMS. (in case such a run happens where i'm actually not trying to doom the galaxy) So if someone could link me those instructions or tell me i'd be very greatful.

Does the 'blue' ending rely on this though or is it just the 'red' and 'green' ones?

Use gibbed but it is fairly easy to get the blue and green endings without worrying about MP the problem comes if you want the best red ending.
