ME3 Earns over $200m in Sales...

If the game say cost them 100 million. Plus the additional marketing after fan response. Then they are not happy with sales figures. I guarantee you that.
For instance. If a movie is released and the cost to make it was say 100 million and they made 200 million. The movie was not considered a complete success. Sure it doubled profits, but they are looking for block buster. Crysis 2 for instance had better sales figures after being released on the PC, Xbox and playstation. They had far better sales, but in each market it was a flop.

At $59.99, 3 million units would generate much more than $200 million dollars. Halo:Reach earned more than $300 million in one week from 3.2 million units. Seriously, anyone remember the figures for game launches like COD? ME3 isn't having that kind of success right now. In fact you can now purchase ME3 for $25 at several locations.
The report is VERY sketchy on details, doesn't tell us how many actual units have been sold so we can't actually do the math on ME3. I don't know where the writer of this article in Destructiod got this number from, but there's no way ME3 sold 3 million copies and only made $200 million.
Something's wrong here.

Kinda makes me feel irrelevant as a fan, I think I'm just going to give up all together. If they have all the money they need, why should they care about fan feedback?
Oh well, nice knowing you all, probably going to not bother with BSN anymore, if the game is a winner for EA, there's no point pressuring them to make changes or do anything to please fans.
No need to waste me time and effort. Guess I'll find an indie studio to fall in love with.
They got fan feedback. $200 million worth. ME3 was a great game. Start, middle, and end.
Why is it that anybody with a positive opinion of the game now gets accused of trolling?
Trolling is defined as the intention to create conflict on forums, this place is known as the biggest ME3-hate forum, I'm not saying you can't love the game I'm saying that posting the game was perfect without any arguments IS indeed trolling on this forum because you get a 100% to create yet another thread of raging.
plus the:lol:
is the cherry on the cake
sorry for the bad english I'm very tired and english is not my mother language
This is also the game's official forums and when a fan of the game tries to defend it the haters try to run them off by accusing them of trolling. And just because someone would rather be positive than a chronicaly negative nancy don't assume they think the game is perfect, maybe some of us just want to counteract all the damn and irrational negativity that takes place here. Bioware deserves to have better fans than what they have got on this forum at least.
I don't want to have an argument over this but here are my points:
- Irratianal negativity? We've spent 2 month analysing the game and saying what sucked with it and why it was a joke (31 fetch quest, fewer dialogues with squadmates, fewer squadmates, only one small hub, auto-dialogues for shepard, ME1 lore irrevelant and ME2 pointless, ME2 squad treated as garbage, etc...) negativity I agree but it's not irrational when you just check our arguments
- "Bioware deserves better fans" Liars don't deserve anything, they LIED to us just 2 weeks before the release of the game ("Rachni have a huge impact on the ending", "I just did a full playthrough of the game, I can't believe how widely different are the endings" "There won't be an A,B,C ending" "all questions will be answered we won't pull a Lost ending" etc, etc ,etc)
We already forgive them about Dragon Age 2, Mass Effect 3 was the game you weren't allowed to screw up with, and indeed they did screw it up

Just because it made so much money does not put people who didn't like the ending into a minority.
The worst thing about this is that ME3 didn't really deserve half that much money based on it's quality. Based on it's quality compared to it's predecessors I wouldn't even say 10% of that.

Speaking of sigs... your sig... you know it's going to happen. EA have announced they're actively seeking new developers.
*thunderclap*
MUAHAHAHAHAHA!
I hope that the people at CD Project Red and it's management are smart and wise enough to not give in. They should know that they can produce quality games which actually sell pretty well without a big ass corporation behind their asses. I don't think that they want to join any of this big publishing companies when they do well without them. Actually, it's an advantage nowadays to be independent in the gaming business, if you want to win over the mature or adult gamers who are seeking quality and not mindless shiny explosions and half assed games which are forced to be released way before being done. So yeah, EA and companys like it can buy as many companies as they like and produce the 50th clone of their former games or rip off and ruin old, great franchises with a massive fanbase (like C&C, DA, ME), but in the end quality speaks for itself. You can't cheat people more than once...

I think you haven't played the game in my opinion. The game has some good part like Tuchanka , but other parts are "Trolling" "sorry for using that expersion"
I've beaten the game 5 times. Way to make false assumptions.
Good! then let me ask you this simple question; how did your last squad mate manage to have a ride in the Normandy and why did Joker send the Normandy to uncharted world if Shep has truly won against the Reapers?
In fact these people; who you are aruging with; are very loyal to BW and they have all their games. They hate what their favourite game producer became and wish to see changes.

I'll tell you something: I bought games from Bioware because I believe(d?) they made their games and put a lot of effort into making the best they could. And they took it seriously. Now, if those figures drag them from their established path and drive them into the Call Of Duty - aka milk the cow until it's dry - philosophy, then goodbye. Don't care about the numbers OP, or else crappy endings and gameplay will be a trend in futre Mass effect games.

Anyone who thinks otherwise hasn't played either of the first 2 games or didn't pay any attention to the story up to now.

Ok, so who's the better friend?
Just before a party your friend decides to wear the most stupid looking outfit in the world, ever conceived. He will not get any dances with that, not get any looks with that and will have a whole bummer of an evening looking like a **** - and you know it.
So, do you tell him before you leave and get him to change into something better?
Or do you just sit there and watch him look like an idiot - ridiculed and upset?
Praising BW 100% for everything they do ever, even if it's terrible or mediocre, is not being a good fan. It's being stupid.

So, there's nothing to celebrate about at EA or Bioware. Especially that they want to appeal to the core fan base - who are disappointed and lost their trust for Bioware - because those fans buy the DLC-s and the stupid merchandise like T-shirts and posters or buy their books. And lets not forget that these are the people who do the free viral marketing for them by the word of mouth, the funny looking cosplay stuff, wearing N7 logo hoodies, creating fan fiction, memes, youtube videos - now it's these people who make the negative viral marketing campaign and it shows. If they weren't that important, then they wouldn't care about the whole situation and would have sold us the Ressurgence pack and would never make the EC, ever... especially not for free. The fan backlash was really organised and loud and made EA and Bio. loose tons of money.
The MP is their saving grace now, because there are many people (can't understand them though) who ought to spend their money on MP packages. But lets not forget: TOR has fallenl 25% by now, since the day of release... and the ME3 MP is not the most interesting "shoot the hell out of them" MP stuff out there... it can get boring pretty quickly and is easy to be made forgotten by another shiny shooter. So here's hope that they will take the core fanbase seriously and will try to make it right and win them back for future release's sake (because their loss after DA2 and ME3 will truly show on the next product and not now).
So, I'm happy for Bio. making money by their work, but let this backlash and the quick falling of prices and sales be a memento for the future... and yes, please do this game (especially for the whole trilogy's sake) justice by fixing that lashed together, illogical and lazy ending and by fixing the major glitches and bugs by patches. Then later on the game can be extended by dlc-s. And I think most fans will be happy to buy them, if everything is back in order.
