Wut?

Seriously though most politicians are corrupt, hypocritical, selfish, moronic, spinless pricks.

OP you do realize ME 3 is a war story right?

And politics are a part of war too. But the politicians are all cowards, or hungry for power in Mass Effect universe.

I though stories like Mass Effect are suppose to be a commentary on our society.

If this was our society, the hawks would've sent the Reapers back to dark space. Clearly Bioware, however, no longer supports civilian rule and is covertly spreading propaganda calling for the overthrow of the governments of the United States, Canada, and Western Europe in favor of Fascist regimes.

Ok, after 15 minutes I came back to this thread, and I have to ask, what are you on?

Given the nature of politics and the state, it's a great representation.

Name me 5 sympathetic representative or democratically elected political figures in the Mass Effect universe. You probably can't even name one.

I'm on a powerful drug. It's called Truth. And the Truth has set me free. You however are still blinded by your binds.

Look back at human history, Governments have been overthrown, even dictatorships. And BioWare creating a game which highlight these elements doesn't nececesarily mean they want you to overthrow your government. Now that is just jumping to wild conclusions.

Ugh.... Listen, Bioware does not have a political agenda. The only agenda they could possibly have involves making video games to make money.

Again, show me 1 sympathetic representative or democratically elected political figures in Mass Effect 3. They don't support democracy or representative government. However, the Primarch, the leader of an autocratic government, is placed in favorable light.

If Bioware supports democracy, then explain why there are no sympathetic democratically, elected officials.

No, but your post doesn't do a good job at showing the truth.

Bioware paints the military leaders and militaristic government in a positive light. While there is not 1 sympathetic democratic figure. In fact, they are portrayed as greedy, incompetent, and generally stupid.
Ergo, Mass Effect clearly has a theme of militarism and dictatorship as a preferable form of government to liberal  democracy.

Show me a politician who does anything except get in your way even since Mass Effect 1.

Your party members even verbally express their hatred of politicians.

When you put your main military main, Anderson on the Council, he becomes frustrated with politics because its too dirty, even for him, a blood stained veteran, and quits opting for the perennial jerk, Udina.

Every democratically elected or representative political figure is either portrayed as a self-serving, coward or power-hungry and corrupt(Udina).

You do realize that Udina (and every council member by the way) was NOT elected but appointed, right ?
