So I, as well as a large portion of my friendbase, are having issues connecting to each other. One of my friends cannot outright connect to anyone. I've posted about this issue before, but no one seems to recognise the issue as real.

We've tried with our firewalls turned completely off, plugging out the router and plugging directly into the modem, we've tried with firewalls on but with the correct ports opened, but nothing seems to work. I've been waiting paitently since release for a fix from Bioware, but seeing that the issue isn't even recognised I'm starting to get really frustrated.

I want to play this game with my friends, not just random people.

If anyone have any brilliant suggestions on how to fix this, I would be overjoyed to hear these suggestions.

But seriously..  multiplayer is fun, that is.. if we ever get to connect to any games besides random. And that is slow at best

Have the same troubles with my friend!!! The best thing is to play with my friend than with random people!

To elaborate on the issue, it appears that the game stops "Communicating..." and then nothing happens.

It is possible to get out of the screen by clicking join game again on the friends list, then selecting cancel on the character selection screen. Hopefully that will make the problem less frustrating for some of you.

well it seems i cant play mp at all i cant join friends games it just hangs on joining game with no option to cancel, and i cant play without getting disconnected on wave 1 or 2

Someone suggested force-quitting Origin whenever that happens.

On Windows, that would mean opening task manager and ending the process associated with Origin.

I haven't yet had the opportunity to test it. I suggest that both the host and the people with the joining bug try it.

I've been having this problem for a while now... There are maybe 2 friends that I can play with, but the rest just get the infinite joining loop... I really want to play with my friends :/

same as me and when i do manage to join a friends game i have major lag problems which makes it hard to play, i never had these problems before the last 2 weeks

has any devs or mods mentioned if this is even being looked into or sorted, because this is not acceptable, i bought an amazing game i want to beable to play it without all these bugs, especially the mp problems, 5 days now that i havent been able to play, well except for today i managed to join a friends game, but the lag made it very hard to play properly, please fix this problem

I also have the same issue. ME3 just completely freezes whenever I try to join a multiplayer game, whether it's random or with friends. I have to force close it, then open the game and try all over again. It works maybe about 1/10 times. When it does connect, I have no issues with lag. Windows 7 64 bit, drivers up to date, no connection problems with any other games. This is annoying as hell. What is going on?

I have exactly the same problem since a couple of days, but only with one particular friend. With others, it works fine.

Bioware, answer please. After server maitainance shutdown disconnections are gone (thank you for this), but now I can't join my friend games, so as he mine.

I get this problem off an on too... it happens between me and someone else almost daily, but then goes away the next day.

Seriously BioWare, what the hell are you playing at?

You can usually find a 3rd person to host and you and the person you are having trouble with can still play... but voice will not work between you. So the host will hear both of you, but you will not be able to talk to the person you hare having this conflict with until it seemingly randomly fixes itself for a while.
