I loves me some tea, as it has the lovely property of helping you digest whatever crap you've eaten today and help you feel clean.

That said, my favorite blend is Darjeeling.

Indian tea FTW.

For me, tea is one of those things in which I'll drink it if that's all I had to choose from. But in general I don't really enjoy drinking it.

I'm also not a coffee drinker unless it's decaf and loaded with cream (I like either french vanilla or cinnamon hazelnut). And that's really weird for me to say that considering I'm from Seattle XD Blasphemous, I know.

I also live in New York and am a tea lover, but I generally browse store brands or local tea shop blends. I think that your dad should send me some of this awesome tea. :]

Better you go to his ashram and get it yourself. Hah.

Upstate NY, he is. Minutes from Ithaca.

I enjoy tea when possible, but the prices are often prohibitive, especially when going loose-leaf. Might just be an American thing though - loose leaf tea is considered a "luxury" or "organic" item and is priced as such.

Well, you can always stick to the sample sizes on Adagio, at least.

Pardon my ignorance, but is that a retail store (if it is there aren't any around) or a website?

Website. Read the OP. hahaha

Ah yes, the OP, we have dismissed that claim... Jokes aside, I will have to check that website out.

Is it weird how much fun I'm having browsing the Adagio website? Thanks for the recommendation, I'll definitely check it out (edit: meaning I'll buy stuff.. as I already am checking it out :D). I'm eyeballing the Dragon Pearl and Thai Chai! Where is the magical tea ashram? And... would it be weird for me to show up and ask for tea? hahaha

If you showed up to my dad's place, just tell him I sent you.

And no, no you cannot have directions. /pwned

Oh, and here are two reviews for the Black Dragon Pearls(my favorite reviews on the site)-

Michael K wrote...

Dragons must be delicious creatures. If this is what the balls taste like imagine a more tender piece like the buttocks. I hope you have the hit points because this dragon master delivers 5 damage.

This tizzle is the shiz nizzle bam snip snap. Dude, its the shim sham if you know what I mean. You can drop 2 of your balls in the pot and they spread out to make one mean cup. The balls are so awesome, sometimes I just play with them before I brew, yo.

There's this brand called "Constant Comfort", and their Cinnimon Spice tea with a bit of milk and brown suger is simply fantastic. If you don't like that, it's great by itself as well.

I always have a box in the cupboard and if you see it at the store, I suggest you try it.

Numi Tea is pretty great, also! I highly recommend that brand. There's this shop in Brooklyn that sells smokeable tea. I've yet to try it, but I heard it mellows you out nicely.. of course, at the cost of some lung damage I'm sure... but, interesting idea.

Oh Brooklyn, we meet again.

I'm from NYC. Manhattan specifically, but I traversed the whole city multiple times over.

In New Jersey now. South Jersey. I want out.

So...goddamned...bad.

Yeah, NJ is kind of ehh... I have cousins that live over there who I visit once in awhile, but I wouldn't want to live there. :[

Edit: Smokeable tea. -- something like this would be in Brooklyn.. with those weird types. haha

Not a lot of tea drinkers here, as far as I've noticed.

Start a tea club. I, for one, would love to join a tea drinking book club.

Coffee in the morning and tea in the afternoon; I think I'm the only one in the office with a tea cup and saucer.

I remember back in elementary school when my friends and I would discuss which was better, Nestea's Iced Tea or Arizona's.

Hah. The benefits of sitting next to the drink machines in Lunch.

Nothing complicated or expensive & fancy when I drink tea myself... typically a cup of earl gray with lemon and honey a few times a week.... occasionally drink some fruit & herb tea as well.
