I think it's more likely that it had something to do with the weekly pack having issues.  The pack system seems to give them fits on a regular basis.

It no longer shakes the hell out of everyone's screen! YES!!

Food for thought:

The reason infiltrators are so good is because of tactical cloak. It's basically their bread and butter. Now, who is to say that soldiers can't be just as good with a heavily improved adrenaline rush/marksman (excluding Krogan and the already decent Batarian).

Soldiers might just become amazing if these updates are as serious as they sound. I like it.

Hope Paladin gets one more round per clip. Shoddy hit registry system means only 3 out of 5 slugs hurt the enemy when all 5 shots are direct hits

Adrenaline Rush should rival Tactical Cloak in terms of the damage bonuses it provides. It never made a lot of sense to me how an Infiltrator gets much higher damage bonuses when activating the strongest defensive skill in the game. Meanwhile, the Soldier just gets shot in the face when using Adrenaline Rush, for about half the damage bonus.

Marksman should be like Tech Armor. Turn on/off, with some kind of small penalty when it's on. Even with a build centered around Marksmen I find I hardly ever use it, because it's just better in general for me to spam mines in-between bursts of fire.

Lift Grenades should get the same treatment that Inferno did. Though really, if they wanted to buff grenades, all they really need to do is make every ammo crate spawn 2 instead of 1.

And Shockwave just needs a longer range by default. Maybe make it 15 meters and then 20 with an upgrade. The "Lift" evolution also needs a buff to there's actually a point in taking it. Maybe make it last more than half a second?

I must say, with the stats they just released in the Operation SILENCER thread, it's not surprising that they're buffing Marksman & AR. Makes sense to buff Soldier powers when 1/5 of your playerbase is using them.

No doubt. Try playing with 3 infiltrators with you being the lone non-infiltrator character.

Every 3.2 seconds every mob in the game is rushing you . Not fun.

Yeah, noticed this too. Cannibals need to go down after I shoot them in the head with Paladin, not continue to stand there shooting at me with completely full health....
