THE LONG AND DEATHLY SINGLE PLAYER SILENCE

I mean, we had 2 multiplayer dlc's, and other than the tiresome ending issue, there has been literally ZERO reference by Bioware to singleplayer- so if you were in Bioware's shoes, what would be the next step YOU think THEY SHOULD TAKE as opposed to what you believe realistically they are planning to announce AFTER the next multiplayer dlc?
Don't you all think it is time for Bioware to speak up MUCH more so we can see they take our concerns very seriously regarding greater focus on singleplayer? The longer the silence the more 'deathly' for us all..for those like us who fear singleplayer is not a priority to the creators, writers as future dlc, for fans like us who got into mass effect series BECAUSE of the dlc can Bioware afford to neglect expanding the singleplayer dlc in story and content for the future? What do you think? and i not really intersted in remarks on the ending...unless there really is no other thing as loyal fans through all 3 games you want to see.
Currently literally since game has been released there has been for nearly 3 months no NO ANNOUNCEMENT by Bioware on this serious issue. What is going on everyone?

What, my fellow friends is going on here? What is wrong with this picture?
What's going on is the usual forum retardedness.
There is no vast silence on single player. They told us what's going on: everyone got reassigned to make the EC instead of the projects they had in mind.
Further, comparing the MP DLC to a single player DLC is like comparing a grape and an apple. The resources involved in making an MP pack are miniscule compared to those of a good SP adventure. Not to mention, the EC doesn't need level designers right at the moment, but an SP pack does need the voice actors, cut scene makers, and other assets the EC is absorbing.

This Extended Cut Better seem to have some work that goes into it. They have a LOAD of plot holes to fill for me. I have read the 3 books .. all 6 of the comics and played all the games for 400+ hours. I am let down and hope they can redeem themselves!

I feel ya... It seems like when Masseffect 2 came out it was like every 2 or 3 months there was Singleplayer DLC... So far all i have seen is crap multiplayer DLC that is nothing more than a Horde mode with Cheese at the end of the maze. No closure to any of the decisions US singleplayer people that where PROMISED the multiplayer would not take away from the True MassEffect Experience ................ Seems they are more concerned with making sure the MicroTransaction Kit Purchases are more important than actually finishing this game!

I agree about the MP. Seems like they have enough people to make MP DLC and the EC but nothing else? Makes me think single player was being planned on removal from the ME games altogether.

A) Another team is working on multiplayer, and Multiplayer DLC is much easier. So different team which doesn't have to do things like voice acting and scripting into the storyline.

Well, I have said repeatedly that there is Single Player story content still to come. We are making the Extended Cut material first, but there will definitely be more SP and MP content coming.

I think most people except OP knew this...but thanks for reminding though...
Looking foward to it and to an ETA to quench my ME addiction

My guess is they'll release the EC first and adjust their SP DLC strategy according to the feedback they receive. Let's just hope it doesn't end up like DA2.

Single Player? Its an afterthought in the mind of many modern games.

Bioware makes them for its Dragon Age line. They did release an expansion pack as well as DLC for DAO. They planned the same for DA2, but cancelled the expansion due to circumstances with that game.

Everyone is assuming that the first DLC after the EC is Aria's Omega missions but I'm not sure there is any real evidence for that.

To the minority that presume that i compare mplayer to splayer dlc absolutely incorrect how you interpreted me- the point is PRIORITIZATION as in that mass effect's priority as a core game IS and always has BEEN splayer- for those who suggest mplayer is justified as overshadowing splayer fundamentally wrong with respect i respect your view but it sounds like some minority here are mplayer fanatics period- not authentic splayer and to be clear, that means within those who are mplayer fans NOT all of them just blindly accept mplayer as the future of a traditional sp series. But there are a tiny minority that seek to turn mass effect into something it is not.
The reality and the fact is and to Bioware's firm reassurance that i sought to get and credit- thanx again, Chris, you did a great thing for the true ORIGINAL SINGLEPLAYER fans:)
was to see how genuine and serious- but trying to dumb down for those individuals who have here my views and way oversimplify it is fundamentally fudging the direction i am coming from...and that is to make sure that yes they are serious and as Chris has now said he is...i was also representing the view of those who were sceptical...like i was....and not just my own view i seek here o this forum to channel whether it be majority or minority so don't think my view is idealist the fact is Bioware have not mentioned a specific outline of what to follow after the ending.
HOWEVER Chris has now assured us that there will be much more...this is now very promising...the point is the sheer gap between WHEN it was announced or focused on last singleplayer and the fact it has been a long time since something SPECIFIC ending matters aside.
To clarify:
-the ending issue is a correction that really did not nor was supposed to be presented as DLC AND THEREFORE does not count as DLC it is more to right the wrongs of something that should have been done right to begin with
-on the basis the ending dlc is a welcome correction as what most see it as, then the official count for future singeplayer dlc OUGHT TO BEGIN from no.1 when the first new mission dlc begins this is traditional dlc
-dlc is defined simply as extra items, weapons, armors, extra and FRESH mission addition NOT correcting things that should have been done correctly.
So it does not bode well for and on those very few here who claim of a 'retardation' view here....sometimes it pays to read the finer detail of what people say...and what they imply, and what their interpretation is...this is a huge issue...
Only reflected for the fact i had an overwhelming response on my polls there is without shadow of a doubt serious concern more broadly about the future of splayer in a lot of games...I am beginning to believe that Bioware really know what fans want...i admit i had my fears- it only natural when it comes from a long silence on SPECIFIC MATTERS BEYOND THE ENDING ISSUE
But for the record finally, for those very few here who think that announcement back 2 months ago outlines a specific strategy it a general, broad outline very welcome.....but we all know we yet to see specifics in terms of announcements for singleplayer after the ending which really is a clarification- expansion and not really a fresh new dlc..
just to clear up to help those better understand the nature of this particular topic some here have taken a bit of a complacent simplified approach- with respect i respect your passion- and i relate this to those who dumbed down my concerns in their specifics....not to most people who believe more focus mus be done on splayer
REmember there is a fine difference between no a HUGE diffeerence between a generic announcement and a SPECIFIC announcement i don;t direct that statement to Bioware they understand and that is fantastic and to be commended i direct that to those few individuals who don't get the difference between generic and specific announcements,.

It counts because it doesn't create itself, just because it's free and was unplanned. Bioware doesn't have infinite manpower and resources to have 2 SP DLCs being developed at the same time. EC required the team just as Omega/anyotherSPdlc does and the existance of EC simply means that other SP DLCs had to be delayed.visionazzery wrote...

You hate free DLC that attempts to salvage the current trainwreck ending?
I see.
