Really? People may not like what they get, but when Bio says a product's coming something always shows up. What are you talking about?

Heh. Thanks. Forgot all about that; I guess because I wasn't very interested in the first place

No amount of DLC will fix ME3, sorry.

Though please take that as a challenge, I like being proven wrong.

We did that December 10-21 2010 and was called the 12 Days of December event.  I'm sorry you're still waiting, but you must have missed it.

You're right Chris I missed that, must have been the lack of a speculation filled countdown on the Bioware frontpage.

So it took about 8 months for bioware to make amends with the international fans over the Bazar debacle, can we expect a similar timeframe for apologies regarding the prerelease porky pies (EMS, ABC endings etc)

Looks like I need to go into Information blackout again, else I won't be able to enjoy what's coming. Been nice chatting to all your guys, I'll come back after I've played the X-END. :D

@Chris Priestly: Thank you for replying to users comments, you're great, but your devil emote will haunt my nightmares. PS: Was there really a cut "Trial" from Me3, I would have loved to play that.

Hey Priestly, we''ve got Weekly Multiplayer operations, Multiplayer updates, Multiplayer  packs, Multiplayer expansions packs and a Multiplayer Manfifest, and for singleplayer we've got a few news Headlines in the first weeks of the game's release and that's pretty it no interesting news no mini DLC, nothing, and giving the fact the fact that this game doesn't even have a proper  quest journal, and that Codex and Journal needed to be combined, because who cares about lore, i think it's to time to admit were you're priorities have been during the production process.

I had other thoughts when reading the title to this thread (thinking it was widely known that all SP development focus is going into the EC before any other SP DLC). We've gotten updates on what's going on thanks to Chris, but the silence I feel is with all the attention and publicity EA (and Bioware) is pouring into MP currently, with tournaments, special events, etc.

But those of us who fall into the category of having played ME from the beginning, and fell in love with it for the SP RPG aspect, and continue to hold that as the heart of ME, and either do not want to or simply just don't ever play MP... well, we sit here on our hands trying to hold back our frustration (or not) and wait as the perpetual MP parade marches by as a constant reminder of what the SP side isn't getting. It would just be nice if there were something to keep the spirits up for the SPers as we wait idly by - moral support from the mods and developers, fun and exciting (NON EXCLUSIVE) web apps... any stream of attention devoted to SP that equals what MP is getting, even if it's not actual in-game content.

We don't expect miracles (most of us) and understand that it takes a lot of hard work for quality SP content. SPer's already feel downtrodden on several accounts -- impossibility of gaining enough EMS, shortened SP experience that has progressively shrunk from ME1>2>3, achievements unattainable through SP (that one is unforgivable IMO), etc., and  the constant MP bacchanalia going on while SPers have nothing else to do but watch and wait is simply letting the issues fester. Throw us a bone you guys! Bake us some cookies! Read us bed-time stories until the EC is out. Just give us more attention to distract us from the MP stuff and the bad taste lingering in our mouths. Get that EC finished up and give us more SP DLC!

It seems like ME3 was released an age ago...but it wasn't. It was only 2 months. It seems like some people want hourly updates from BioWare on exactly what they are doing! It's all very simple - the EC takes as long as it takes. Extra SP DLC will be released after that. This is what Bioware have stated several times. No matter how much you whine\\beg\\demand people trade in their copy of ME3 for Witcher 2 in protest...this fact is not going to change. It's either time to be patient, or move on. Too many Veruca Salts on this forum....

Let's remember that the dlc released thus far has been totally free. The EC will be totally free. I think once they get that particular elephant out of the room, good or bad, we can look forward to bigger and better things. Retake Omega, for example. As for how long it takes, well, the sad truth is, we can only blame ourselves for the wait.

Free? The day 1 DLC From Ashes wasn't free unless you got it with the Collector's Edition!

Yes, I bought it myself, but that was before the ending backlash.

I would prefer that the single player DLC be worth every amount of money I would cash in for. So if BioWare needs to take some time on it, so be it. I'm probably the rare few of gamers out there but patiences I have plenty of.

True. But Resurgence DLC was free and Rebellion will likely be free as well. Not to mention EC.

You do realize it's only May right? A multiplayer DLC is more easier to make than a whole new story for single player.

Either way, my point is, IT. HAS. ONLY. BEEN. TWO. MONTHS. CALM DOWN!

Don't you ever think that the content of EC DLC is something Bioware should have done during the produce of the game?

Probably, but they didn't. They are now working on it and all the whining in the world won't speed it up, so deal with it.

Oh, I don't dealing with it. I just return ME3 to Amazon have full refund and wait until the EC DLC came out. If the DLC is crap, then so be it. If DLC is good, I will buy from ebay in very low price. That is my way to deal it. BTW, the game is incomplete.

I think a lot of people here need to realise that a company has multiple staff who each have their own role. The staff required for single player content (such as writers and voice actors) are busy with the extended cut DLC. The massive uproar over the ending made them put everything on hold to work on completely new and free content to try to appease all the people saying they wont buy anything from Bioware ever again unless the ending is fixed. Meanwhile... the staff who work on multiplayer content and can't really help much with the extended cut carry on with what they are employed to do.

Hopefully the level designers and character designers will be able to get a head start on whatever playable SP content is coming and we wont have to wait too long for it after the extended cut. However I think it would be foolish for Bioware to give out any kind of release schedule at this point as too many things could change between now and then and consumers will only be further disappointed. Also, it would take the mystery and suspense out of it. It'd be like my family telling me tomorrow what I'm going to get for Christmas.

Umm, what? We have singleplayer DLC. "From Ashes" is a real thing. It happened. We got Single player DLC before any multiplayer DLC and it added great depth and insight to the ME universe lore.

Your point is moot.
/thread

Last I checked, the Ashes DLC was available to anyone and was not strictly just for single players.  Those who played multi player mode as well could use the From Ashes DLC.  Conversely, any multiplayer DLC and events are of no use whatsoever to the single pplayers.

Therefore, sir, with all due respect, I believe it is your point that is moot.

This is prety justified, also just keep us updated on the progress, we have to hear from voice actors on how far the EC dlc is coming.

For all our sakes i hope the E-Cut will deliver Chriss:).I have faith in Bioware that they will get the job done.Because if the E-Cut will indeed fail you can just forget about all that nice future DLC.Make it matter.Make us love again :)

It's only been two months, you can't rush things.
Not that I won't buy it, but if all the EC will do is just explain what happened to this and that, what would that say about the other upcoming DLC's?
"Moar characters and more sandboxes to play in"? (No offense BW!)

Just a suggestion in regards to that actually. Maybe next time, try releasing a decent ending for your games to start with. It might help. That way you wouldn't need an extended cut because the game would be great already, and you could get right on into the good stuff.

I'll point out we've still had no explaination as to how that ending got into the game to start with, and how anyone thought it was a good idea. The extended cut has a lot to live up to in terms of totally reexplaining the ending to fix within the universe. Personally I think it's impossible.

But as I said. Next time, good ending right away. Not a bad ending. Got it? Good. I really shouldn't have to explain basic marketting or story telling to you, but hey, since I do, please try to listen.

I doubt anyone of Bioware is listening from customer anymore. Although Bioware always claim that we are listening, it is hard to believe. So, I believe Casey Hudson is not listening and the dev team is not listening. A lot of fans want to a new ending or multiple endings, Chris even ask about new endings will be in EC DLC in PAX 2012. The answer form Bioware is firm, no new ending in EC DLC. After I heard this answer, it hard to make me believe that Bioware is listening to anyone. Well, maybe EA and money. They try to spin the customers around and hope that the customer will forget the mistake. However, it will be remember until Bioware release next game, DA3 possibly.

To me as a customer, ME3 is cold now. No matter how much affort for EC DLC that Bioware dose, the game has bad reputation and will keep that way for a long time. MP mode for ME3 is a joke. If I want to play MP FPS, I have plenty options, BF, MW, MOH, and the dev team of thoese games only focus on MP and MP only. Why would I play MP in ME3? There is no point to do so.

Abandon Bioware, they have lost their integrity.

Given fan reaction, trying to improve on the endings is the priority for the SP side of the game. We know that Bioware is working on it atm, and so clearly whatever plans they had for other SP DLC's have been delayed. The fact that they haven't spoken about anything after the EC is an indication of how seriously they're taking taking the EC - they're putting all other SP stuff to the side to focus on this.

However, there's no reason why the MP development team shouldn't bring out new maps or characters. That department wasn't going to be working on the SP DLC, and aren't working on the EC, so there's no reason for the planned MP DLCs to be delayed.

This is always the worst time to be on these forums. The game has been talked about to death and we're waiting for more DLC so conversations and threads start repeating themselves. Just be patient guys, more will come soon enough :)
