I swear. Bioware just fails at MP.

They can't release a simple commendation pack on time to save their souls.
There are countless bugs in MP that haven't been fixed in over 2 months.
There's a bug where you can buy a pack, yet never receive it while your credits are stolen.

Agreed, they need to either get their act together or get someone else to work on it instead of them. I've seen more major errors and bugs than I've seen throughout 4 years of playing the halo and call of duty franchises. To beat them in the number of major fails and long-unfixed errors in the space of 70 days...

Everything they do seems to be delayed or be broken within the hour. Some of the major bugs that were originally present are still present after a patch, which created more bugs and errors. This operation is again hinting at DLC being released/announced through the event, yet we've still heard nothing.

Either way, I'd say that in future, they should get some other company to work on the multiplayer to their games. It's rather apparent that they should probably stick to singleplayer.

Alright guys, let's take a step back for JUST a second...

You cannot possibly compare ME3's MP to that of Halo or CoD, two franchises built on addicting multiplayer. Neither of those can hold a candle to what Bioware's single player experiences offer. They're different franchises built by different companies with different purposes. ME3's multiplayer is a tacked on, simplified mode that simply reuses resources from the single player campaign. Don't hold your expectations too high.

Furthermore, the multiplayer for ME3 was created by Bioware Montreal, a newly created branch that houses some old Bioware employees and others hired specifically for their multiplayer prowess. The blanket term "Bioware" doesn't mean they're all the same people working on all the same stuff. They just all received paychecks from the same corporate overlords.

Some of the problems with ME3's MP are inexcusible, sure. But let's not try and compare copper to gold, here.

Did we win? How many banshees did we kill?

No clue they have been stalling say they are computing the enemy forces losses.

Thanks. Yesterday it looked like much less banshees spawning even in gold. Maybe we did win after all.

How does this correlate?  I'm pretty sure that each game is the same, regardless of whatever community goal is met.

Remember the first event? They lowered the number of brutes after that, temporaly ofcourse. I'm hoping for the same. That's how this is correlate.

Nice to know, but I don't use twitter. If you announce the weekend at these forums, wouldn't it be logical to place messages about the progress here too ? Thnx for the info, at least now I know they are getting somewhere and working on it.

If this failing to you, mass effect 3 mutiplayer must be the only mutiplayer experiance your accustomed too this gen.

I wish other devs would try to make the MP as exciting as bioware have, 2k sports, & dice, should take notes.

Forcing people to read "childrens text messages" is a ****ing stupid idea, even from bioware. I would love to shake the hand of the person who made this decision, then i can say for future reference "I have felt physically what true idiot feels like"

Guys, chill out. You know how long it takes to count 3.000.000 banshees? Seriously, just be patient, you will get your pack one of these days.

You gotta admit this is getting frustrating to say the least.
We get together every other weekend to complete a challenge, then have to wait a week before we see our rewards.
By now they should have figured out where they went wrong the first few times and fixed itImage IPB

You say that like the SP was some serious win or something.  I think they messed the endings up way more than the MP  - and they did sub the MP out.

Honestly, the MP is the best part of the game.  There's no story to be told.  You go out with some pals, stomp some stuff on gold., and call it a day.  Get a new gun.  Cool.

I'd rather get a new gun every 2 weeks than have to see the SP and its RGB horrible-sauce endings.  Its the one aspect of the game that Hudson and Walters didn't mess up with their supposed 'creativity' or whatever other artistical crap you want to tag it with.

Well, yes, I do know how long it takes.  At 3 MHz it takes less than 1 second - even for a single core machine.  Most machines now are clocked in the GHz range and are 4 to 6 cores - so its far less than 1 second.

So we are waiting on someone to add the numbers across each of the gaming systems.  This is much harder, apparently.  You have to add 3 seperate numbers and see if the total is over 3 million.  Yeah - thats a real tough one.  I might even break a sweat.

While i make fun of the numbers, it may be a case that we were close and they are deciding if they should give it to us or not.  As I recall, Chris' original post was a tad bit vague.  Do Banshees killed in Silver and Bronze count towards the goal?  Why would extraction on any faction count, if our objective was Reaper forces?  Is it required to get 100% of the team to extraction?

I know I made my goals - but it really was not easy.  It was also a lot of fun.

I thought it was clear. The commendation was unrelated to the communal task. Same as last time. Full gold extraction against anyone, and kill Banshees at any difficulty. The only reason to do the Banshees on gold is because you get a load more of them to kill and if your competent enough on gold/reaper then you'll get the commendation along the way. For those not quite up to that (I've not managed a full extraction on Reaper/Gold yet) they can do an easier gold challenge and just take out Banshee's on bronze/silver (I was playing Silver myself).

Not long with the correct scripts calling MSSQL or MySql quaries depending on what database format they are using. I am sure they have an isolated Database server as well from the Apache servers as well and dont use port 3306 or they drop all connection to that port in the firewall

iptables -A INPUT -s 127.0.0.1 -p tcp -m tcp --dport 3306 -j ACCEPT
iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 3306 -j DROP

Minimum - Four Processor, Quad Core Dedicated Server with SCSI Raid -10 confiuration with 2 nic cards with dedicated backdoor IP for remote access for administration

So yeah PFQ I would say

Unbelievable... They should post some news around here, to say the least. Even if they aren't ready yet, but it would be nice to keep us informed on what's going on, so everybody would be OK and wouldn't be having that vacuum feeling. Maybe HairyCallahan had stated correctly and there is just a guy counting one kill by one by reading thousands of printed reports.

It is "hanging chads" left over from the florida election and straw voters bused in from under the bridges and park benches of Miami .

I attempted about 7 Reaper Gold matches Sunday I was lone wolf extracted from only one. I did like 2 or 3 Silver Reaper Runs 2 partials one full. Also 3 Geth Gold runs fully extracted. I cant even count the amount of Banshees downed. But the Gold is challenging the best one was Reaper Gold Condor All lvl20 Adepts.

Now that there are two weeks between events, they may be releasing these a bit later. It would make sense, given that they do need more time to test these packs. If I had to choose between waiting a few extra days because they are making sure the process goes smoothly or waiting a few extra weeks because things snafu'd again, I'd choose the former every time.

And while BioWare should communicate better when it comes to bugs and other issues, this is very far from being the worst multiplayer.

Would be nice if Bioware posted a message about the progress of releasing the packs for last weekend, even if it is bad news and we didn't get the community goal. I see 34 pages of replies and thoughts about this last event and not even 1 answer from Bioware (or did I miss it) ? It's just rude, to stay silent like that !

They posted ontwitter 9 hours ago :
twitter.com/#!/masseffect/status/202529046242918400
Alliance forces are computing what losses the Reapers suffered. We'll have an update soon!

so they are still computing by what they say, hopefully it will be soon.

They really gotta post such stuff on these boards as well. Why only on Twitter?

Twitter seems lately to be the new official site. But tech support tell people to come here to get (no) answers...

Yea twitter seems to be the place for updates. I see alot of people on here comment about the last of response on this site but on twitter they have been replying all day

Argh!!! I'm super cereal guys....twitter sux.

You do it and just to assure the success of this operation, I go with my Reapers with lasers and turn the rest into obedient husks!
