Well Bioware/EA are certainly on track with their usual record. So packs should be out thursday - this usually gives them 2 spare dares of bungling things up on top of the 2 days they say packs should be available by

I just read that there will be a DLC soon, where we get 2 vorcha classes, 2 ''Phoenix'' (I don't know what that means) classes, two maps and a few new weapons.

Maybe they used a separate global variable for each match.

I think you ment the same assigned value not global variable, The global variable stores the value being the data.

Lets see they used the same column with the same value and forgot to run a script to clear the column with in the table value to zero removing all the records from the last run and they are not Date/time stamped.

Foobar!

it is simple as using sum on the column with in table to get the total record count for all the entries order by date.

Do you guys need the man page for MySQL or the MySQL site for the latest SQL commands

You should already have scripts that do this count already.

They could have done some thing a simple as this

 $killcount = array(
  "User"=>"Host" ,
  "Phantoms"=>"Phantoms",
  "Banshees"=>"Banshees",
  "Date"=>"DT",
  "Brutes"=>"Brutes"
 );

Then what ever $killcount is equal to it will drop it in the corresponding column adding a record to the table each time

Here is what a simple table might look like

Phantoms | Bancshees | Brutes | DT | Host

Then they could have writen a script to sort on date range and sum the column of there choice

This is not complete it is just a pointer  I am not going to write the whole routine

Again, its almost rediculous to think its the count, as it has been pointed out that can be figured out in a matter of seconds.

Its assignment of the packs to accounts that has caused problems event after event. Its obvious that they would want a pack release to go without a hitch, and thus might be late because they've found a hitch in QA/QC.

They must think were stupid it takes secounds not hours to get the count the servers are all in one location with a large MySQL server doing the work.

may be they out sourced the MySQL departmet and it takes 80 penciles and 500 people to construct one line of code, then it is entered with by a blind person using a 10 foot pole on a broken key board

Mmm.

You guys ever think that maybe they're running into tallying problems because they have to go through and find all the hacked games and remove those - like the ones I've seen where all you get is banshees? I don't think it's as easy to run a query for those.

You seem utterly convinced they're running MySQL. Has this ever been expressly stated? Not that it really matters in the long run, but there are other database options.

I just want to get my stupid pack so I can open it and get my stupid gun that I wont even use, then not play this game until next week, because I'd much rather play Minecraft since I'm getting it today.

You might get a good gun.

Come on now, MP is so much beter than SP hat its not funny.  At least you don;t have to deal with the lead writer's and lead producer's depression.

Well, that would explain the delay.

i now know why they are taking forever. They are creating a new universe. First day to create a universe. second day for creating the sun, third day to create the BW headquarters. Fourth day they will be using to create a new game, Fith day they spend designing the micro transaction scheme, sixth day will be when they generate random bugs and launch the game. seventh day they will spend rolling in the money they make with a mediocre product, and sleeping on a bed made of broken promises, delayed patches and rewards and crushed dreams.

Ah yes, "Commendation Packs". We have dismissed that claim.

Maybe BioWare has a "Delayed Pack Rage-o-meter" that will only trigger release when a certain amount of impatient forum rage has been recorded (it might even use MySQL!). Ergo, the more we all complain, the quicker the Victory/Commendation packs come out. SCIENCE.

Re: Operation SILENCER

Confidentiality classification: XB-PRIME

Distribution: N7 Forces Only

Soldiers of the Milky Way –

It is with great regret that I must announce the withdrawal of forces from several colonies in asari space. Reinforcing them proved untenable. While Operation SILENCER inflicted substantial casualties, the Reapers learned from our victories against the brutes, and they now know how to protect their own.

Rest assured that we too are learning from this conflict. Already, we are implementing plans to supply our forces with a better arsenal so that, when we next meet the enemy, they are ours. Until your next deployment, keep calm and carry on. We will pay the Reapers back soon enough.
