It is with great regret that I must announce the withdrawal of forces from several colonies in asari space. Reinforcing them proved untenable. I think maybe the overall goal was sabotaged by the individual goal. I saw a bunch of people gunning for full extraction on gold first and foremost, which meant fighting anything but Reapers.

The Victory Packs have been kind of sucky.  Not much better than a Veteran Pack, really.  Which means 2 Bronze matches or one Silver...so no, I don't see the incentive either.

Now if the Commendation pack is tied to the community goal...that would be different.  Especially if they guaranteed one ultra rare weapon upgrade in the pack.

Thats a shame,  I put in a decent haul against the Reapers but oh well.


I hope multiplayer numbers arnt significatnly dropping.  It is starting to get a bit repetitive, but the new map pack should rekindle a lot of interest if so.

You never know, they can change the items of the Victory Pack on a whim (see: Operation Resurgence). Could have had a better reward because it was a tougher challenge.

Perhaps to make players who didn't think they were good enough to try Gold feel like they were contributing towards something. I admit (and this is pretty embarrassing) to missing out on the very first commendation pack because I wasn't able to extract on Silver against Reapers. I know. SILVER for crying out loud. But, getting the Victory pack was a good consolation prize.

Yay we lost. But let's be honest, would you play any harder just to get a pack with consumables? If the victory pack was akin to a spectre or a premium vet pack then there might be incentive to play more on these events. Also 3 million banshees was high considering that unlike the brute challenge they didn't increase the number of banshees per game (at least it didn't seem so in the games I played), coupled with the player base drop off over time due to bugs, bans and other titles being released.
