All in all I think more and more people aren't playing because multiplayer co-op is boring after so many matches. I know I play maybe for about 3-4 hours a week just to keep my galactic readiness at 100%. Enen then, I go weeks without playing. It does get boring pretty quick.

Blatantly untrue, Chirs Priestly posted in both this thread and the one in the MP forum.  He did not make a new thread, but as you've pointed out the Blog has that information handy.

I'm more mindful of timing with this mission, the 3 million goal was already steep, but it was also placed against Mother's Day weekend.

Actually if you look back on the previous page, Chris did make an announcement in this particular thread.   It is just a copy of the blog posting, but it was still an announcement.

Right, because this sort of thing has never been implemented in any PC shooter before today... Yes, typing is often slower than talking, but not communicating at all is far worse.

in most cases, I would agree, but not in me3. This is a game where you have to survive waves of enemies. If somebody stops to chat, they could die and easily lose the game for everyone. 

In retrospect, I get the feeling BW is actually considering implementing text chat. See, ME3 uses Unreal Engine 3, which by default has a button bound for text chat (T). I'm not sure if it's still there, but when I checked the controls shortly after getting ME3, it was even listed under keybinds; it did nothing though. Recently I was changing some keybinds and tried to use T for something else, and got an error message saying I couldn't use that key because it was unchangeably bound to a different function. It still does nothing as far as I know; maybe they'll implement text chat with a patch at some point?

I seriously hope not. If they do, it'll ruin the game for a lot of players (Specifically gold players, but probably silver and bronze, too) because we'd have a bunch of noobs stopping to chat every two seconds, causing their deaths and unbalancing the odds. Might cause match losses, and if they add it in, I guarentee you the majority of fans will be pissed at Bioware. I think Bioware already know this, though, so I doubt they will add them. 

I disagree. I think more communication will benefit us.

We already have a perfectly serviceable means of communication during the game.  Chat would serve no purpose other than a distraction from the game.  Just because half the people out there choose not to turn on their mics does not mean that others can not communicate with a single push of a button rather than, typing long chats.  The only time that chat would be useful is locating games, or during the pre-game cycle.  Let's not forget that may of these players are on XBox which does not have any form of keyboard.  Can you imagine them trying to cycle through the Alphabet with a controller while still playing the game.  Chat = Really, really bad idea.

it was also graduation week along the country so i'm pretty sure most of our community was offline either with graduation parties or mothers day celebrations, it sucks we failed but it was not unexpected, plus the community has grown complacent with all it's victories. it needed a defeat to get back into focus

quit complaining, the victory packs aren't even worth it. They're basically a veteran pack with a fancy name.

well I mean, people generally use more resources trying to earn the victory pack than they get from it. Problem is that so many people care about unlocking the pack, not completing the challenge.

 I Like your way of thinking:happy: what you said is actually true many ppl lose more then they gain lol just for a victory pack
Mabie they're trying their best to get the victory pack to feel acomplished

I really want the N7 Hurricane too becuase last time i got N7 Valiant and N7 Eagle which i don't even use LOL

Just got Commendation pack, Valiant III for me.

Oh well about the Victory Pack, I'm sure there was nothing special in them anyway.

I understand it's for guys who can't contribute a great deal, but Bioware, once someone's done the Squad Goal, what keeps them coming back, eh?

And yes, this was a sucky weekend, lots of things going on, lots of things coming up. It may get better, it may get worse.

But the Victory Packs are gonna need more than a few things.

I get the hurricane from this one. Last one was eagle, and before the shotgun. I use none of them because they suck IMO. No sniper rifle so far. Guess I'm lucky.

I don't usually use SMGs except for extra ammo (and then I use the really light ones so it doens't hurt my recharge speed) and I'd much rather have the Crusader or Valiant. 

I used it in the campaign and didn't think it was actually that good, so....

I got the Hurricane, hubby got the Eagle. I was hoping for the Javelin or Valiant. I've got the ultralight weight mod 5, so I am still at 200%.  cool.  now, is it any good?

Releasing new characters for multiplayer will get this old warhorse playing again but until then there's preciouse little to draw me back. The sad thing is playing other games is starting to show me that much of my appreciation for ME3 was hype and pathos on my behalf. With the disappointment that is d3 the question begs to be asked- has the gaming industry sold out?

Same here i dont use snipers i usually use pistols and SMGs  and i have the N7 Valiant which is just laying around there not being used which could be very much used from other players.
