Some of the problems with this past operation.

First, banshees does not spawn alot per match if its not in gold challenge, which brings this other problem. The Commendation reward was for any successful full extraction in gold.

And most of the players know what that means, easy commendation reward by farming FB WHITE in gold challenge with the geth as opponents.

Now IF it WAS a full extraction in GOLD challenge with the REAPERS as the goal for a commendation pack, then and perhaps then, the community would had reached the required goal for the victory pack.

If you and 3 friends cant kill a 100 banshees in 6 hrs then you need some serious stick time. If it makes you feel so much better to call me out personally then go right ahead. 3 million banshees was indeed a tall order.

That said, I don't think that is the only reason we as a community failed to achieve it.

My first thought when I saw that we had to kill banshees for the challenge was:
"Oh crap. Banshees. Sigh. Oh wait! It's just the community goal! Victory Pack is garbage anyway so who gives a crap?"

Same here, the Victory packs are normally very 'meh' so who cares?

I was bummed about getting a Hurricane II, but it actually goes very well on my Turian soldier, especially with the accuracy and stability boosts given by the passive class power and Marksman.

I just sit back and chuckle at all of the people angry/upset that we didn't win the challenge. The Victory packs are *not* good. At all. Most people would burn through ten times the amount of equipment and supplies they'd get in one of those packs.

And the "OMG, BIOWARE LIED TO US! WE SHOULD HAVE WON!" stuff needs to just stop. This is a friggin' game. Unless you have actual physical property at stake dependant on the outcome of the challenge, kindly take the tinfoil tophat off and place it in your solid waste excretion port. Sideways.

alot of people are just saying why bother now play a few rounds and get off move to some thing else. looking over the people playing this week end, COD, GTA, GOW, Skyrim SRW3, before it was one or two and the the rest were playing ME3 now it is flip side.

Some one explain to me that some how out of 22.8mil matches played with 10.5mil successful extracs that we didnt manage to kill 3mil Banshees. Lets say only a quarter of those were Reaper (when actually it should be a third) matches on bronze thats still 2.7mil banshees at one per round. Ummm if I may, not to challege your math, cause your using rough numbers. Which is fine, but I believe your formula is way off. I am not 100% but I believe the numbers you are using are not from the weekend but from the life of multiplayer. Now I am pretty sure it actually states that, which means the math looks more like this. 22.8 millionn/60 (or 60 days, current life of the game.) That's about 380,000 mission. No need to divide by 3 because it was a 3 day event but only a third of the missions are reapers, which the actual number is a lit lower because most people don't like playing the reapers. So everyone would of needed to do about 1 reaper mission to hit the goal, reguardless of level. Now maybe you did a lot of missions with Reapers and that's all you bud, but not everyone did. You also have to include attrition, the game is not as popular as it was in march, better weather mean more people doing stuff outside, and a holiday for mom.

I did about 6 missions this weekend myself, all gold public, 5 full extractions, 2 reaper missions. Now I will tell you what I saw. I took me forever to find anything but FWGG on gold, and still does which is pretty much the norm these days. So you can throw out those Gold numbers because from what I have seen not many people play reaper gold anything. I generally see fewer and fewer mathches being played period. Last night as an example I could only get access to 5 public lobbies on Gold. Three were FWGG, 1 I don't even know what they were playing cause I booted during the load screen, and one group playing the Reapers on Ghost. I jumped to each of these lobbies 3 times because they were the only ones avvailable at the time. That's random loading the same five lobbies three times. That was all that was available on gold. FWGG ruins any gold numbers you have, that's not even a gold mission, that's target practice.

It took PS3 players almost 2 months to even become part of the community, so I doubt they had a huge impact as I am sure many got sick of waiting for it. Player numbers are clearly down do to normal attrition over the life of a game. My guess is about 80,000 reaper missions got played this weekend. Don't forget all those bad players out there. Not like I am great, but I will never be the reason anyone loses a gold match. But all those players out there that get in a game and quit cause they keep dying, don't tell me you have not seen that, or run into all those bad players in public forum. No offense to the bad players, I don't mind throwing you guys a bone from time to time but stay out gold, playing FWGG does not mean you can play gold.

Besides with all that farming you did what do you care about the community not hitting it's mark? Go buy a damn PSP or 10 believe me they are way better than the Com packs. Do you think Bioware cares about giving away Vic packs they just unloaded a bunch of packs to PS3 players for free, the last DLC was free, VIC packs don't have jack in them. Oh no you didn't get free medigel, what will you ever do now that you are down to 2000 packs of medigel?

Now do yourself a favor, have beer or 10 (if your old enough) lay off the fatties, I mean really don't they have it bad enough? Now if you were busting out annoying 11 year olds who think they can play on gold, and try to tell everyone what to do and leave the only real gold player (me) to carry the team through a gold mission and constantly are complaining about everyone and force you to clutch waves 6, 9, and 10 cause they want a com pack, and during your super amazing clutch of 10 complain non stop that you are taking to long, and you decide to at the last second to step out of the extraction zone with three seconds left just to here them scream in anger and rage and then point out to them that they came in dead last while you threw up a 180,000 to their 7000 then I understand. But fatties already have it rough, I say hug a fatty and give them a ding dong. Spread the love man.

Anyway man anger is not going to change anything, and it will not get you a free vic pack, unless of course you kill 3 milliion screamin Mee mee's yourself. Remember your goal was not everybodies goal, I did not care about the vic pac, and was not power playing ME3 all weekend, or Banshee hunting. I went in got my com pack in the first hour, and played a few games over the weekend just to stay sharp. To be honest the game has lost it's luster for me, I got tired of busting my hump for another bad weapon, no weapon or another addition to my never used shotgun collection. I see far fewer weapons than I did a month ago I might add. 5 PSP this weekend and only one weapon in them, how is that even possible?

A great way to get the full extraction is playing an infiltrator on Firebase Dagger, gold, alone. Then you can only blame yourself if it all goes to hell. It sounds hard, but you can always lure the enemy over to one side of the map, then go invisible and run away while sniping their asses off. I`ve only done this with the Black Widow against reapers, but guess it`ll work with the GPS or another gun you might like. Stack up rockets for upload missions.

And the feeling when you acomplish it is f...... sweet.
