Has anyone else had this issue of the game freezing up during mp?  It has happened to me 4-5 times now, which isn't a lot I understand.  Today I was playing and it froze after I shot a Geth Trooper in the head during round 5.  When this happens the controller vibrates heavily and I have to use the power button on my xbox to shut down and restart.  It could be my xbox but I have really had this happen with other games.  It's not a major issue for me I was just curious if it's isolated or has been experienced by others. Thanks for your time.

Only issue I had was freezing after everyone signals ready. Suddenly my system just locks up.

EDIT: Very rare issue, I admit. Only happens once every two weeks, at most.

Happened to me during on wave 10 of gold on the last priority target and lost all the credits I earned from wave 3 & 6. Mine has froze 10+ times.

Oh ok. Connection problems could be the cause. I didn't think of that. Weird that it freezes up my system, but stranger things have happened!

I only had this problem on the PS3 when playing wireless. It would hard lock the system when it occurred which was very frustrating.

I have a new xbox (less than 3 months) and this has happened twice tonight. Most distressing.

I think it does happen when someone joins a match in progress. But that's not the only cause. Maybe I'm unlucky, but so far I've only had this glitch when playing vanguards (any race). It's happened when I've pressed the charge button and sometimes when I'm just walking around the map. I've also only had his issue when hosting, because I always host when playing vanguard.

This is still happening to me and more frequently. I am fairly certain Bioware doesn't read these messages, otherwise issues like this freezing would have been addressed. I am tempted to stop playing multiplayer. My system, a Star Wars edition Xbox360, has frozen or locked up 5 times in the last 24 hours. I have no idea if this will damage my system in anyway, it has certainly dampened the fun I was having playing the game, but I don't want to chance it. Hopefully on Tuesday with the DLC an update will be provided that addresses this and other game breaking issues.

I've had it happen infrequently, always during a game in progress of course x_x.
I can't say there's any specific event in the game that occurs before the freeze, but it's very frustrating.

Had it happen a few times on my 360. It was always when I was standing near a bunch of BEs going off.

If the game is locking up and then dropping you out of the match, that's a connection issue.

If the whole Xbox locks up and you have to hard restart it, it's a system issue, nothing to do with Bioware, that's Microsoft's side. This is an overheating issue. It happens to me rarely and more often if the console can't breath and you've been playing +8 hours. Is your console in a cool place? Does it have proper air flow? Are you placing and leaving things on top of your console? Are you placing it too close to other appliances that also generate heat? Is the area you place your console in too enclosed?

If yes to any you may want to consider moving the console to a better "free range" locale... as well as resisting the temptation to leave objects on it.

Interesting. I had been guessing it has something to do with the servers and how the packets are sent/received, but I have no idea. The latest time this happened was a few minutes ago. I like to do solo Bronze runs if I'm bored or getting warmed up. I was on wave 6 and someone joined the game, I forgot to keep it on private, whoops, no biggie. We play a round, wave 7 starts and freeze. I really hope Bioware fixes this problem. I didn't pay $100 for this b.s.

Happens to me a lot to. I play straight from the disc, not installed the game on the hard drive on my 360. I think maybe it`s the dvd player that overheats? Though it doesn`t feel too warm. It oce happened to me 1 sec from full extraction on gold...

Yes this happens to me occasionally, Usually happens right at the instant of the sound plays when reloading my weapon.

As OP described. Not a connection issue. Hard lock up of the xbox, can't even bring up the xbox menu to quit., requires a power cycle.

It happens to me periodically, as well-especially at wave transitions when there are a bunch of explosions and whatnot going on. Clearing the system cache regularly seems to cut down on the frequency, but doesn't cure it entirely. For me, it's most often Firebase Reactor where the system will lock-up.

This weekend was awful, massive lag made maps unplayable, disconnections mean't you lost you equip, money and time.

Wost weekend so far, seems EA are not really prepared for the interest in their own product.

This happens on my Xbox 360 (slim) too. To the other commenters, does this happen with other games or just ME3?

I partcularly hate it when it happens when I am hosting the match.

I've had connection issues from time to time but last night was the first time my xbox froze (22 seconds left of a hard fought silver match)...Gutted I was.

My guess was that there was masses of stuff happening on screen, it was the hottest day so far (in the UK) and I'd been playing a while. Box seemed cool but it's MS, it's guaranteed to crash at least 15 times a year isn't it?

If it's happening a lot, I don't know? Put a fan on your machine? Installing game on hard-drive? (no idea if that would help in MP)

It sucks.
