Sorry, but that's just a blatant bit of BS. Kaidan and Carth are poles apart in personality. Carth goes on a bit about his family, but Kaidan has to almost be threatened with a court martial before he reveals anything about his past. Thane and Carth are much more similar in terms of personality.

Who knows how long it actually took to record everything they needed from her. Plus, they cut stuff out anyways from the original full ending before release. Maybe, more Ashley dialogue is in there too. Just watch out for Keith Szarabajka. If he is called in that means more Harbinger!!!! Which also means big things are planned!!!!

Exactly. Joker had cut dialogue that was already recorded, which is supposed to explain why he was fleeing from the blast through the Mass Relay. I'm sure that will be in there and I am sure many other characters have dialogue that was already recorded, but was cut last minute because they wanted the ending as open as possible.

One recording session is about 4 hours, so maybe 100-150 lines. For Ashley that's quite a lot. I doubt they'll need more than one session for Ash, unless she somehow has a huge role in the EC.

not surprising since EDI and Kaidan's VA's said they are returning and Bioware announced all Squadmates and Shepard are coming back for more voice work
