Okay so this is my second time playing through this game, and this time i got the shadow broker DLC and did that first before i recruited thane or samara. After recruiting thane i jumped right into the collector ship mission (where you go to the ship that the illusive man tricked you into going to to get info to get the IFF) and i went back to recruit samara, and now Liara's terminal is not allowing me to download the info on samara, so i cant talk to the police officer to start the quest. and suggestions?

Did you already talk to Liara about where to find Samara before you did the LotSB mission? If so then that's probably the reason why - you already have the information in your (Shepard's) head. Check your journal for the Dossier: Justicar mission and if it says something like 'Go talk to the tracking officer who works in the transport area about Samara's whereabouts' then you'll know that you already got the info on the computer direct from Liara herself earlier in the game. If it doesn't say that I'd guess that Liara's computer simply no longer works because she no longer works there, in which case I'd just go talk to the tracking officer anyway.

tried all that, none of it works. I tried to recruit after finishing the DLC and talked to the training officer anyway, didnt work, Looked it up, apparently its a bug they havent fixed for 2 years, so i tried to do what the forums told me to fix it, and it wiped my profile, FML

S**t luck. I guess it's safe to say any bug isn't going to get fixed now. Did you find out if this always happens if you play LotSB before recruiting Samara? Just that I'm on Ilium at the moment doing a replay and I was thinking of doing it before getting Samara as well. Do you know if you can talk to Liara, then talk to the tracking officer, tell her you're not ready, then do LotSB, and then come back to the tracking officer and tell her, yep, you're ready now?
