For me, no decision was exactly palatable. Having said that, I decided to do what I set out to do from the very beginning: DESTROY the Reapers. Remove the galactic threat permanently.

I wouldn't say I enjoyed it, but it was neccessary, the reapers had to die to ensure they wouldn't come back some other time.

I figure that the Geth and EDI survived as Shepard did and the catalyst said that they would all die for the same reason.  So was obviously either lying or mistaken.

He specifically says that synthetics will die. He never specifically says that Shepard will die. He implies it and he's right because without a high EMS the energy wave isn't specific enough to target Reaper/Reaper technology by itself.

It was either genocide, slavery, or eugenics-gone-awry.

You tell me what the best choice is.

But you did do it on purpose. He told you "If you shoot this tube, the Geth will die."

It seems you knew what you were doing going into it.

I don't think you understand. Well, actually, I think you're trolling, but I'll explain it anyway.

On purpose: for that deliberate reason.

I didn't pick destroy just so I could kill the geth. I picked destroy because it was the lesser of three evils.

That's what Mordin said about the Genophage...

Better to kill one species, than to essentially rape the entire galaxy. So, yes, I'm proud of it. But I for one don't even think it matters, so whatever.

Endings which require you to try all of them to pick the best are very badly done endings.

The sad thing is that most of the galaxy won't care about the genocide.

In fact, most would celebrate.

Well, the quarians will sure be pissed. Nobody's helping them upgrade their suits now.

Most others won't care though, yeah. You can't really blame them though; they're a little sore about what the geth did to the Council.

Shepard has already committed Genocide once, and twice if you killed the Rachni Queen. Also if you can't get peace you just again commuted genocide. Also the Geth and EDI are prepared to die to defeat the Reapers. It sucks they die but their sacrifice was worth it in the end.

Seriously, why does every thread that starts with "I have a question" turn out to be some fool condescending to his betters, hiding behind a pathetic veneer of "civlized" conduct. You don't have a question. You have a statement. Don't be a coward and hide your opinion as otherwise.

Nope, because Shepard didn't commit genocide.

But the answer to OP is simple really - no I don't. But I don't see it as my fault really.
If somebody forces you in the situation where he says "I'll kill either your friend A or friend B of you choice, or both of them if you don't choose", this does not make you a killer, he still is.

Done it before during Arrival, my brain doesn't comprehend how I'm supposed to control something while dead and synthesis seems like you're giving in to the Reapers. Red seems to be the only option.

From dictionary.com

Genocide
noun1. the deliberate and systematic extermination of a national, racial, political, or cultural group.

You didn't commit genocide in arrival.  Shepard didn't deliberatly kill them, it was an unintentional side effect.

It's not genocide if you can just, y'know, build more robots. Are we expected to believe there is no record anywhere in the galaxy of how to construct more geth?

If it even wipes out all synthetic life in the first place - EDI survives, assuming that's not just an oversight. Frankly, depending on if you believe in certain theories that shall not be named, there's little point in believing anything holo-child (calling him the Star Child is an insult to Stanley Kubrick and Arthur C. Clarke) says to begin with.

EDIT: Also, Mr. Big Pimpin up there, nice sig.

This is a troll topic and doesn't deserve to be taken seriously. To answer the OP's question: I do! Every second of it!

Shepard knew full well destroying the relay would kill the Batarians, it was a deliberate action that caused the death of 300,000 Batarians. It's genocide it's just not "evil" genocide.

It's a pretty stupid question from the OP. Everybody knows Destroy is supposed to mean thedestruction of the Geth too. We get it. I hated that part because it felt mostly like Catalyst was just being spiteful. The reason I chose Destroy was only because the other two options where so badly presented and so full of unanswered questions and dangerous implications, tthat it was the only option I could rationally chose.
