That is nothing to do with gene. I committed a gethocide. I can live with that, so does my Shepard.

Destroy ending for the win.

Gethocide: They just barely gained sentience so they don't REALLY count, right?

The OP is obviously a troll/tool, but to believe that Shepard kills the Geth and EDI in the red ending, you have to believe that the Catalyst is telling the truth.  I for one think everything he says is BS because obviously Shepard is alive after the red ending, and the Catalyst even says that Shepard is part synthetic.

Actually ,no one choose anything we were forced to pick from three forced options that our Shepards would never do.

No, but its the choice the geth would have made if the situation was reversed. They believe in self determination, and I feel they would understand.

it saddens me that the ending can be classified as Red,Blue or Green. I accepted Paragon and Renegade when it was classified as that, but this is a shame.

but as for the thread it was sacrifice I had to make bioware did it not me. Don't get me wrong I love bittersweet, but that was not bittersweet.

Do you enjoy commiting genocide, Shepard?

So the destroy option was a systematic extermination of a group of people? News to me.

I picked "Destroy" because red's my second-favourite colour.

(My first favourite is pink). :wizard:

Hey, thanks. Fluttershy is best pony, after all.

It's a tie between Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash for me, but I like Fluttershy too.

Genocide against what exactly? The Geth?

Sacrifices need to be made in War times, if the Geth had to be wiped out to ensure all other races did not receive the same treatment at the hands of the Reapers, then it was worth it.

They were machines, they only just obtained true AI intelligence; I did not know them personally. I knew Legion; who was dead. Legion was not an accurate representation of all Geth.

That's like teaching a bunch of people to read, then shooting them in the head. Killing them just because they were less literate than you a month ago is just plain mean. It's like giving a kid a lolipop then stomping it into the ground while telling him/her that Santa isn't real. You gave the kid a gift, then snatched it away because hey, you'll never have to see that kid again.

It's hardly like that at all.

The Geth are an unknown factor in the galaxy now that they are truly individual. Before, they had to reach a consensus before commiting an action. Now that they are all individuals we don't not know what kind of people they will be.

Killing the Geth gives the overall best results for the Galaxy, removing the reaper threat forever. If the Geth needed to die, it was worth it. It would be same if the Hanar, Batarians, Turians or Asari... hell if Humanity had to die to save the galaxy. I would have taken it.

The Geth are just robot's dude.... I mean I like them and all, and EDI is really good at simulating a soul. But it's not worth keeping the reapers around, even if star kid says I can control them.

"What all I have to do is kill myself with electricity? Sounds fool-proof!"

My mission for the past three games was to destroy the Geth. If the Reaper Sidequest can make sure I succeeded I will gladly choose it.

Gethocide! LOL! Does that also make it EDIcide? If Shep sacrifices his/her self for this greater good, are you Shepardcidal?

I know, its sad how amused I was by that. I'll stop now...

It doesn't matter. Every ending is identical, every ending is stupid, every ending is stolen from some other game, every ending is shoehorned in where it doesn't belong, every ending completely discounts the rules of the universe it lives in. In short, every ending sucks, so red is just as good as any other color.

There are alternatives that can prevent people from dying (save for Shepard) right under your nose. Why not take them?

Indeed! I turned off a clever computer. No pain, no emotion, no baby geth. Nothing but a clever computer. I did like it.

For the win. And by the way, my Shepard survived!! Double winning!

I regard the work of the Enkindlers in Dispair. Rather than destroy my planet, I make people angry or amused on the internet. *sigh* I had so much potential as a villian. I could've been that guys side kick. That's why I'm mad.

Because it's the only one that he can be sure of. Control seems like it would work, but Star-Jar tells Shepard he'll lose everything including his life. I'm still not sure how you can control something when you're dead.

Synthesis is even more confusing. He tells Shepard that it will make a new DNA, even taking it at face value it still seems odd. Shepard doesn't know what this new DNA will actually do.

In my cycle, I'd have thrown all the geth out the airlock.

But I suspect that wouldn't be nearly as efficient as the galaxy-range anti-synthetic wave motion gun.

The other two options did not involve destroying the Reapers. My Reapers primary goal since game 1.
