I think preserving a certain amount of mystery is important to keeping a world interesting, so I hope that Bioware doesn't unravel or answer all of the mysteries in the Dragon Age world. For example, I like the mystery of the differing religious views (Andraste, elven, dwarf, etc.) and the subtle hints of where they potentially intersect. While I'm hoping that the "true" history is explored, I certainly do not want everything to be revealed.

Anything that has nothing to do with the story of DA III.

The Primeval Thaig, for example, interests me, but I doubt an explanation for it would fit into a game set in Orlais.

"The stone lives beneath Orlais"

OOOOOOH, good one.

Can see the connection Image IPB.

Not really, I like knowing these things, makes the world more interesting to me.

I know answering some of the bigger questions has the potential to fudge the entire setting for some (read: reapers), but I don't think I really need to prefix my answer with "If it's done well..".

That's the problem. It's hard to create an answer so the most mysterious things. So it might be an awesome peice of dialogue, or a ****ty answer. You could also mix it up by having awesome dialogue within a ****ty answer ^_^

A good example of a mystery that doesn't need to be solved is Tom Bombadil from the Lord of the Rings universe.

Just remember though that the majority of mysteries in fiction should be explained or given closure and it would be really lame if too many things were kept a mystery and never ever explained.

I have one.

Kossith Broodmothers = DO NOT WANT.

If Dwarven and Human Broodmothers were disgustingly terrifying, my mind is absolutely not prepared to go there.

Horns... lots of horns, in places where there really shouldn't be any growing *shudders*

Dude, speak for yourself. I was always very disappointed that Tom Bombadil never got a full explanation in the expanded works.
