Our current information from BW pretty much shows us that they are planning on doing the bare mininum with the endings. That is, just showing us an explanation or something. If that's the case, why are they putting in all this extra hard work when they could of just gave us some half assed 2 minute cutscene? Why would they need such a large team in order to help "clarify" the endings? What part of the endings are they clarifying exactly, and how much clarification are we going to actually get?

They just want to do the bare minimum as well as possible.

Who said they are doing the bare minimum? They are bringing voice actors back into the studio to record brand new dialogue, seems a bit more than the bare minimum...which would have been doing nothing. As for the rest of your post no one except Bioware knows that and I highly doubt they are going to be giving out any details just yet.

They are clearly doing SOMETHING. You don't bring back voice actors and utilize the art department [according to recent tweets] by doing the bare minimum.

I'm not saying if it'll be good or not, but bare minimum would have been extremely minor changes like Garrus walking out of the Normandy and going, "Well, I for one am glad we packed seventy years worth of dextro rations! Amirite?"

clarification, from what we know now, is the bare minimum of what most anti-enders wanted. That is why the OP says so.

Oh.My.F**KING.GOD.

Scenario 1: Bioware doesn't put in much effort in the Extended Cut.
Fans: Wahhhhhh Bioware why do u not want to put in any hard work into the EC?!

Scenario 2: Bioware devotes alot of effort in the Extended Cut.
Fans: Wahhhhhh Bioware why do u put in so much hard work into the EC?!

I don't think they are doing the bare minimum, they are trying to do everything they can to please as many people as possible without loosing artistic integrity on what the game was trying to say so maybe you should show a little humility and a little patience. You are also getting EC free.

Scenario 1: Bioware doesn't put in much effort in the Extended Cut.
Anti-enders: Wahhhhhh Bioware why do u not want to put in any hard work into the EC?!
Pro-enders: HA! you didn't give in at all.

Scenario 2: Bioware devotes alot of effort in the Extended Cut.
Anti-enders: This will do, but was all that stuff that had to happen first really necessary for you to be motivated to do this, BW?
Pro-enders:Wahhhhhh, Why did you waste your time and resources trying to please the anti-enders BW? Wahhhhhh!

I think they genuinely tries to make up for the ending without changing it. They can turn these endings into a hollow victory (spoiler ahead) instead of a fubar'd galaxy incapable of rebuild.

I hope they gets rid of Stargazer scene though.

Kinda true -- except the immature brat-ish tone of yours. However, you're missing an important fact: that these are two vocal minorities that are mutually exclusive.

Had to be a large team. A small team might've gotten it wrong.

Well this turned into a hatefest quickly.

And to answer your question, maybe they want to put effort into something they feel is good?

It takes manpower to make movies. And if anything ME3 needs more non-interactive cutscenes, because there is still way too much game in that game.

Yes, bringing in VA's clearly shows bare minimum effort. Some people forget that there was next to no squadmate banter in ME2 DLC.

I have a theory that they aren't just working on EC DLC, but on Omega as well.

And they want it to be more engaging (see have the squadmates actually speaking) and more expansive (need new and unique levels).

So all this work going into EC is really going into Omega, while EC just gets what we all expect, a quick slap of paint on a bad product.

I'm confused. Is the OP complaining that Bio's doing too much, or too little?
