VA's coming back can only be a good thing
I just hope that the extension doesn't all occur at the end and that there are some scenes found mid-game which would require you to replay the game.
I'm am also happy with confirmation from Chris Priestly that more SP DLC is coming besides the EC (and the often spoken about 'Retake Omega')

BioWare is the embodiment of a non win situation. I can almost see it in the horizon.
IT true? BioWare will be bashed due to being unoriginal. On one side they will be discredited for implementing 'fan fiction.' On another, people will be angry for changing the ending. AND, on another, people will call it 'worse than the original.'
Everything's an excuse for a riot in the BSN.

Come on OP. Now I admit to being sceptical about the EC based on the original FAQ but at least the timescales and the VAs coming back suggests that they're taking it seriously and want to make it work.
I will get mildly excited when Hale and Meer are called back, since this would indicate something beyond cutscenes.

There's other DLC in the works, I wouldn't assume all the resources and voice acting is for the EC.

Yes, they dont make another endings, but clarificcation and conclusion MAY "change " the endings(our choices matter, etc.)

I hardly dissagree with OP. I think that BW do much more than bare minimum.

If the X-END fails, I'll just get depressed and go eat Strawberry Ice-Cream and get fat.
If the X-END is okay, I'll feel the wait was pointless, eat Peppermint Ice-Cream and get fat.
If the X-End rocks, I'll thank Bioware and eat Bubblegum Ice-Cream and get fat.

-Cutscenes of some of your war assets (Krogans on the ground killing reaperized troops, Quarians and Geth fleets in action, etc...)
-Longer conversation with catalyst, probably be able to ask it a question
-I think I read somewhere that there is no possibility of Shepard reuniting with his/her crew but the VAs are recording dialogue so maybe a longer scene on the stranded planet or maybe a memorial service for shep on stranded planet or something.
-Apparently we weren't supposed to assume the mass relays being destroyed would mean the end of space travel so probably scenes of various races somehow getting home or at least setting out? I don't know.
-Maybe seeing what happens to Harbinger (is it space magic-ed or is it killed by the fleet?)
-Long lost twin brothers Hackett and Zaeed reunite...j/j
What I would really like is a whole new ending with no starchild but that's not going to happen. The things I listed above were things people had complaints about but that if added would still fit in with starchild/ space magic.

BW screwed up and with their PR bull**** and disrespect for their customers they deserve every bit of critique they get. The worst scenario is if people would just stop buying, like many are, without being vocal about why.
There has been excellent and detailed feedback all over the internet about what is wrong with ME3. NEgative feedback might not feel good, but it is essential for improvement.
If the IT turns out true it is probably the best we can hope for but nothing other than damage control. Withholding the ending of this series and completing it through DLC should not be praised.
Overall the EC will return some of the lost reputation, but not all.

Pro-enders:Wahhhhhh, Why did you waste your time and resources trying to please the anti-enders BW? Wahhhhhh!

Pretty much. If the EC is just "clarification" then why do they need such a large team to clarify it?slyguy200 wrote...
they are doing the maximum with the bare minimum option. The OP means that "clarification" was the bare minimum of what most anti-enders wanted, not that BW isn't trying to get as much out of it as possible.
