No Geth Soldier?

Bioware.

I is disappoint.

The Geth Engineer is basically a Geth Soldier.

Not even close.

Geth Soldier needs Defense Matrix, Hunter Mode, and Pulse Blast (Concussive shot basically, but it is the Geth Primes bullets)

I think that Bioware is speaking about Vorcha in the context of the Operation. Just like with previous Ops there has been a small narrative to accompany the announcement. This is a way to integrate the Op into the overall penumbra of the Mass Effect universe. I don't see any evidence that Bioware is releasing DLC on Tuesday, any announcements of such DLC or of new multiplayer characters or content. I am fairly certain, as well, that in most cases DLC is announced a few weeks, at least, ahead of time. Just don't get your hopes up. I think most people here are reading more into this than they probably should be.

Indeed. Can't confirm them yet.

That said though, they did the exact same thing before Resurgence(mentioned Justicars and Batarians), and some people thought nothing of that either.

Hard to tell, honestly. It could very well turn out either way.

EDIT:And if it does turn out true, they're still awhile away methinks. No way we'll get them within the next few weeks.

BW has access to a ton of good ideas... out of the millions of bad. I like the idea of Geth Soldiers! :D

Be cool if they have some kind of regenerative powers (cause they're supposed to be adaptible and heal quickly) and very aggressive (woo hoo).

After a sucessful round:  "AHHHH! WE KILLLLL THEM!"

Looks like the rebellion DLC is at least partly true. Now, where are the male quarians and phoenixes!?

I really wonder what are these Phoenixes. Please, pretty please, no Protheans.

Chances are they are Prothean. Phoenix is rebirth. Protheans are reborn... by mating with Asari? Or they found a couple hundred intact stasis pods.

They will want revenge.

Then I hope the next DLC brings us redeemed Cerberus Soldiers, or a Husk pack with Husks, Marauders and Cannibals that managed to stay independent minded.

They will want redemption and they are not happy.

You do realize that your supposed want for Husks and Maruaders is WAAAAAYYYYY dumber than adding Protheans right?

'Never get into the N7 program' - considering none of the MP chars have ever been an actual N7 Alliance Soldier and its an all out Galactic war... yeah thats a silly excuse not to try and have Vorcha. Definitely looking forward to the little space goblins. Just wish they'd get regenerating health proper-like along with Krogan, oh well.

I'm guessing they would just have no segmented health. But who knows.

I agree with your sentiments.   I'll maintain my skepticism and hopefully will be pleasantly surprised by an announcement.  I would most certainly enjoy the addition of more characters to multyplayer!  Hope for the best and plan for the worst as they say. :D

A good case can be made for rehabilitated Cerberus phantoms as well.

I agree that it's a dumb excuse, given that there's a giant war raging and the they wouldn't actually be true N7 members, but I've actually heard it several times in anti-Vorcha topics, which is why I used it as an example.

*shrugs*

People tend to pull stuff out of their asses a lot when they irrationally hate things.

Geth Prime carry big*** gun, Defense Matrix seems to be something developed by Cerberus, Hunter Mode is already present ... Engineer is Soldier with additional bonuses.

thats not lore nor does it even make sense to play as the bad guys

It's as much lore to say that the Husks/Maurauder/Cannibal survived the nanobots designed to transform them and retained some of their consciourness and morality as saying they found a sithload of stasis pods holding Protheans.

Protheans should have never been added they went from extinct to 1

Which is why I'm glad From Ashes is  DLC I didn't get.

Although, I can cope with 1 Prothean alive, but not an entire army.

So then you admit you have NO IDEA what you are talking about....

Beautiful. Your opinion now matters as much as dog **** on the bottom of my shoe.

It stinks and it's annoying as hell.

Vorcha is going to be completely and utterly useless against Geth due to the Geth Pyros. Hopefully, they will fare better against Cerberus/Reapers...however, their natural weakness against fire makes them liable in a Random enemy map.

... hang on a minute ... aren't there Vorcha troops with flamethrowers in SP?

New weapon opportunity?

Hopefully. It would be easy enough to make the Firestorm into a power and have it run off limited ammo ala grenades or something.

I would play nothing but a Phantom in MP if that were an option.

The Starkid and Javik where enough Deus Ex Machina for a decade, thx.
This IP is starting to look more and more like Lost...

I don't like the implicatioins of MP Protheans, but I have to cut in against you here. Niether Javik, nor a fleet of stasis pod'd protheans would be Deus Ex Machina. Deus Ex Machina is a very specific term for the plot device of some fantastical thing apearining illogically with zero prompting and rescueing the hero in the eleventh hour. Starchild is pretty close to textbook DEM, living protheans are not.

So I was thinking here, you know what biotic ability is not currently in MP that would be perfect for the likely vorcha-sentinel?

Slam.

I'm thinking they're more likely to get a custom power, like 'Big Boom' or 'Set Us Up The Bomb', where they actually set themselves up as a bomb.

Well, a Phoenix rises from the ashes, so there's a possibility that it's a Prothean.

Or it can be some character that's been reanimated or brought back to life, I dunno.
