All I want is to generate a spell_constants_h.ncs from the source included in the toolset (which is version 1.01 and therefore suits me perfectly).
Sadly when I give it a go in the toolset (open demo module, find the spell_constants_h.nss, open in script editor, hit compile) I get a compile fail error: compile failed. script must contain either a main or a startingconditional.
What am I doing wrong here?
Can't compile spell_constants_h.nss, very frustrating!

Nothing; that file is a header file that is included in other scripts. You would need to recompile the spell scripts for your changes to take effect in the game.

Awwwwwww, CRAPOLA!! And here I was hoping to avoid overriding spell_singletarget.ncs...
Thanks for the pointer... Shame BW has to make everything unnecessarily complicated and double shame for the nerf-o-rama...

Sorry; blame the nerfs on those poor souls that don't comprehend that balance doesn't mean all classes are equal, but that they are all useful at what they specialize in.

Don't just cast blame. Fix it.
I'm learning the toolset entirely from scratch just to undo those nerfs.

Sorry. Howl the Wizard moment (If I can't be beautiful, life's not worth living...)
Someday I'll learn to script properly, maybe AFTER I finish the game already...
