So I have just bought BF3 and it has the ME3 card thing in the booklet slot. I got the ME3 tags in BF3 but how do i unlock the soldier. Is it to late? Do I need to link my account to origin? I think i have already done this because when i log into the bf3 site it shows my gt. So my only guess is that i needed to play bf3 before me3 and have it linked prior to buying me3. Can I get cofirmation on this. Thanks

ok it took a little bit of time but the pack appeared in the store. Just so everyone knows all you need is the game a pass and linked accounts. you do not even need to have played a game of bf3

it could have been an original copy because it had a mass effect 3 demo promo in the booklet slot in the game case unless all copies of BF3 still come with that not sure. i purchased it on amazon and oddly enough the bf3 case has chinese writing on the case and booklets as well, but works fine here in the US and the game is all in english and works online.

I just purchased battlefield 3 today purely to get the Soldier character for ME3, reading the comments on here I thought I might miss out getting it, used the BF3 online code, nothing..............checked the accounts were linked................nothing...............played a quick BF3 mutiplayer online game to create a save......nothing..........didn't occur to me to go look in the store in ME3! loaded up ME3 and went to the Store in multiplayer and there was a battlefield pack waiting to be claimed......doh
