In control, when you're watching the endings side by side, they don't explode. Just fizzle. :P

That little snippet of information makes Control arguably better than Destroy, and as such is NEVER mentioned on these forums. :P

so you think having the Reapers living and still around a good thing.

But there should have been more grilling. Shepard grills everybody and everything, sometimes to the point of boredom. Something's missing here for him to accept anything other than destroy, so fast. That's every Shepard.

Shepard was wounded, allies were still being killed by Reapers, best interest to speed the process along as much as possible.

With such a life changing decision, this is where Shepard's inquisitory nature and defiance was needed the most.  And all that was needed is but one quick question: "What the **** are you talking about?"

To add more food for lack of thought, the original interpretation of the leaked script was the Catalyst named the Guardian, and the Control ending explicitly said Shepard would control the Reapers, but be forever trapped on the Citadel.

Have fun with that.

Well, they all have their ups and downs. That's probably the best aspect of the endings -- none of the three are clearly the best or worst. You should be able to argue about them. And it's fun! We could argue more about synthesis if anyone knew what it did beyond make people nervous.

Synthesis is the only true ending, the strengths of both and the weaknesses of neither.

It had already been decided by everyone that the Crucible needed to be used.  It had been deemed necesarry regardless of the risk.  Even if Shepard had asked the Catalyst more questions, the end result still would have been the activation of the Crucible in some form or another, and the sooner the better with the war raging on nearby.

Why not?

The reapers were only a race of genocial psychopaths because the Catalyst made them be that way. Now that I've usurped control of them from Star-Jar everything should be hunky dory. :D

They really have achieved their goal of speculation and discussion when it comes to the endings I guess, I love defending Control by coming up with stupid uses for Sheps new reaper army. :P

But yeah, I struggle to have a strong opinion on Synthesis because i'm not entirely sure what happens now that everyones sort of green. :pinched:

I picked destroy (despite it destroying the Geth) because it's the only sure-fire way for the galaxy to 'self-determinate' it's future. With the other two options, you'd always have a potential Reaper threat looming in the background.

If thinking that I can use the reaper to write a giant "LOL" in the side of the moon means i'm indoctrinated... So be it.

If  telling Harbinger to bring the Citadel a giant Mai-tai is wrong... I don't want to be right.

This statement, has truly opened my eyes.  There is just no arguing against this logic; why the hell didn't you say this sooner?!

Get the hell back Conrad, I've got this.

My Control ending plans include Harbinger becoming a used Ship Salesman, and turning the Citadel into the Galaxies best Theme Park.

Also rebuilding the Mass Relays.

Does trusting said psychopath to not be bull****ting you in order to get you all huskified (as it appears you are in the ending) really such a good idea?

A test? The only test I had was to endure that nonsensical ending for 10 minutes.
I don't believe that SpaceBrat nor in IT but I hope for your sake that IT will be implemented in the EC because there will be rivers of tears this summer if it isn't.

See that's what I like about IT. If you don't pick the same option as them, you're either a sheep or a maniac. Lovable bunch.

Sorry, I was too busy teaching Harbinger how to make tea the way I like it... And then getting him to make me reaper-sized emergency induction ports because my reaper-teeth are sensitive. :wizard:

I'm not going to trust the Catalyst further than I can kick him. That's one of the reasons I didn't pick Synthesis. But fortunately I have other sources. Thank to TIM's research we have known for a while that controlling the reapers was a possibility. I don't trust TIM either but he's no idiot.

I passed the test. Did not even consider the other choices. Destroy is the only option for me. And I won't be weeping over the geth when they've been trying to kill me throughout the whole series-minus one, who does not even accurately represent all geth. Too bad for all the other people that were tricked by the kid, eh? Enjoy either becoming a reaper or getting your DNA spliced-and still joining the Reapers.

Oh, I will! I ended the Reaper Threat on the control Shepard. Just like I will on a destroy and synthesis Shepard. They. Are. All. Right.

LOL at people who think the game was about synthetics vs organics.
