@OP: BioWare is "considering" making MP harder like they were "listening" to complaints about the ending.

I'd be happy if they fixed the Random selector as it is now. Jumped into a Gold game earlier, and the first thing that happened when the screen stopped "Connecting" was me getting dropped by grendaes. It went "I'm he-*BOOM*." Didn't bode well. Everyone else died, so it wasn't much of a loss. Even so, it'd be nice to actually connect to matches or lobbies without being stuck in limbo.

a very very very very very small % of people want want want. They may get what they want. Then they **** **** **** **** about what they got. In this case it is too hard. But it dont matter....cuz that small % has yet again screwed over everyone else....who think it is just fine as is....

BSN math
the loudest minority = everybody! this is also called mob rulez!

People talking/whining on the forums most likely plays approximately no part at all in determining what changes are made. Do you really think they just read that <1% (probably even <0.1%) of players thinks weapon X is too overpowered and immediately "nerfs" it?

Bioware has a complete picture, with in-depth actual valid statistics about everything, which is far, far more accurate than what the players base their opinions on (tiny sample sizes, misconceptions, incomplete understanding of game mechanics, biases, and alterior motives).

What was the most recent FB White statistic? Something like 36.x% of player-chosen maps are FB White. Over a third of player-chosen games are played on the most widely known easily farmable map, when there's at least 3 other maps just as easily farmable (but less well-known) and 7 other maps to play. And yet pro-farmers still argue that FBWhite farming isn't as common as anti-farmers make it out to be, or that it's easy to find a non-FBW random match on Gold in a few minutes, etc. And that's not even counting the majority of players who will never visit the forums and never find out common farming/FBW tactics or FotM builds/classes/skills or anything of that nature.

Bioware knows, players guess.

i agree what you are saying....but....i dont see your need to take my quip and over expound on it

I'm hoping that instead of just boosting enemy stats, BW could introduce upgraded bosses (used in addition to regular bosses).

1) Geth Omega Prime: Improved Prime with insta-kill melee attack, commands an extra drone
2) Atlas Mk. II: Atlas with dual missile launchers and flame thrower
3) Stealth Banshee: After initial scream, makes no noise, turns invisible when not attacking

not a bad idea having a badder boss type for each race, Cerberus id ake a new mech that simply enhances nearby mechs/turrets, buffing the performance of Atlas/Turrets and giving them continual minor repairs over time, this would encourage taking down the engineer mech before the others.

Geth yeah an improved prime of some sorts.

Reaper, a slow banshee type unit that brings recently killed reapers back to life when its in close proximity to a reaper corpse/body we just killed.

or just any old thing to help bump up the variety tbh.

id have more faith in them enhancing the game if it were a monthly payment type of game like most MMO's, those types pretty much need to move with the times and improve, but ME3 mp is part of sp which is a pay once and thats it type of game.

Usually companies get their game out, fix anything thats quite bad but ultimatly they move on to their next title to earn them cash and leave their old titles for dust, its not like ME is their flagship title, and its also the last in the series so i have zero expectations for its longevity, tho id be quite surprised and happy if fixes and vast improvements / additions were made.

What about a Survival mode? Endless waves of increasingly difficult enemies would make for a really difficult challenge, especially with Gold mechanics. Teams could compete as to who can last the longest on a leaderboard - it would be great fun.

I'd rather they come up with anything other than Horde Mode, but it seems that BW is going after easy ways out for ME3...Which also means their way of making MP harder revolves around buffing all the mobs.

handily enough they came out and 100% stated its a form of cheating, fair play tbh actually makign a statement as such, did they do such a thing with the FOV post(s) floatign aroudn as well or is that still another "grey area".

personally i like reading some of the things like the fov/platinum/left for effect "tweaks" but wont/dont plan of using them in any way shape or form unless theres official yes statements permanantly encased in concrete with a bioware logo on it.

I just find it odd that this "announcement" was made on a locked thread. Isn't this something that, if a new thread were started and stickied, BioWare could then use to gauge the interest in a Modding Community for ME3 MP.

Fov mods are still a grey area.

Judging by their responses to other modding threads, I think it's pretty safe to assume you won't be banned for it until they say they're going to start banning for it.

Don't hold that as gospel, though.

Wow this would be interesting. The other thing I'd like to see more though is increased difficulty in SP!

New interesting modes will HAVE to be created for this MP to exist 1 year from now. The real question is: how committed to the MP game is BioWare? How long will they dedicate resources to the project?

Simply adding guns, characters and maps will not keep this game alive indefinitely. Many people are already showing signs of fatigue from the repetitive gameplay. Imagine playing U/U/G for weeks on end and rarely wiping out. There is not a lot of challenge anymore. A lot of ppl I know (while they do love playing) are really playing for N7 Rank and to get final N7 weapons to 10.

I think Diablo 3 will suck a good 30% of players away from this game, across all 3 platforms.

Add Versus. For the little story as to how it could make sense, just say something like: "Some of our agents were captured and indoctrinated. They are using their knowledge of our assets against us and we unfortunately need you to eliminate them before they cause excess damage." Or something like that.

Be nice if they took more of an Egosoft approach to modding - support the modders a bit and then incorporate the best ideas into patches/DLC/new releases....

A good chunk of X3:Terran conflict was built with the community who made the X-Tended mod. *shrugs*

Unlikely to happen with a larger gaming house though (*coughs* any owned by EA).

Mind Valve have seemed to do alright out of the modding community - and now Skyrim utilises the Valve Workshop, so you never know.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind a difficulty which just adds more enemies. It would exist for Bronze, Silver and Gold. No idea what they would be called.

I don't want more health buffs for enemies. That's reasonably boring. Just MORE enemies makes it much more enjoyable.

I don't think there's a need for a higher difficulty but that's just me. And Bioware, please stop buffing enemies and nerf the Combat Engineer's Turret and the Phantom's gun.

Oh my God...making the game harder for the very small percentage of farm boys, who maybe already have all weapons maxed due to extensive gold farming or whatever and are now bored?. I´m a casual player because i have to work and also have a REAL life. I´m fine with playing silver as regular and sometimes bronze just for fun. On silver, there i have fun, still a challenge if the team is not working well together and relaxing fun when a good team combines thier strength and skills. Also playing sometimes Gold but this is more frustrating. Especially when you successfully achieved a few Gold runs, added to the bunch of failed tries, and all you get from that hard earned work are stupid character bs cards. No, i prefer to have fun while playing so i stick to bronze and silver. Gold if i have to, like achieving Squad goals on gold during operation weekends for the little rest of hope to finally get a commendation pack with a Saber.

But in general i don´t like the idea to make the MP harder. For Casual Players this will be a kill switch. I forsee a wave of "Off and so long MP" then.

And btw.....i play MP mostly because SP sucks so bad (You know why, BW.....Ending bs) that i don´t wonna play it anymore, since we all know how useless all the made decisions are, during the three games, at the end.

Granted, MP has some fun potential. But if SP wouldn´t be that crap at the end, as it is and will be, i would prefer to play SP and only MP because i MUST play it for the max GR and EMS rating.

They always could just make Gold harder and leave Silver/Bronze alone.
Or just add a new difficulty and leave all 3 current ones alone.

Then the people who prefer the easier matches could have their easy difficulties, and the people who want a challenge could have their hard difficulty.

Making MP harder, and having modes for lesser skilled players aren't really mutually exclusive ideas.

Firstly, I doubt very much they mean they'll be increasing the difficulty if the current modes. What's more likely in the context of the post they made is a further mode above Gold such as Platinum.

Secondly, people who enjoy harder difficulties are generally not farmers, but simply those looking for a challenge. I don't play as often as most due to real world commitments, my rarest aren't all maxed like many, but I play Gold almost exclusively. Point being: it's not just the hardcore who do

Lastly, Saber is an ultra rare found in both spectre packs. Unless you made a typo, you don't require Gold to obtain one.

I wouldn't worry.
