So when can we expect to see the black/ultra-rare pack?

If all you're after is Ultra Rare (Black/N7) weapons are Premium Spectre Packs or Spectre Packs more cost effective?

preimums obviously. I don't even know why you have to ask that.

Because the increased chance of getting Ultra Rares from PSPs might not be enough of an increase to make the 39000 more credits you have to pay for one actually more cost effective that a regular Spectre Pack.

Does anyone know?

I don't think there's much difference honestly.  While I''ve had abysmal luck with both, PSP's have actually been worse for me.

Ok so here's how it works.

In a regular spectre pack the last card has a chance to be an ultra rare.
In a premium spectre pack theres 2 of those cards that have a chance to be an ultra rare.

Spectre is 60,000, premium is 99,000.

Premium saves you 21,000 credits on the price of 2 ultra rare lottery tickets.

Premium Spectre Packs are not worth if you play Gold and use equipment. The experimental chance for N7 is 9% for Premium Spectre Packs and 5% for Spectre Packs. Therefore the average cost of an N7 weapon is 1.1 million if you buy PSPs, and 1.2 million if you buy Spectre Packs. Not worth it considering you get so much more equipment from Spectre Packs.

Of course it's not worth it buying these packs at all after you max out your Gold weapons.

Edit: Buying a pack is a Bernoulli trial. Either you get an N7 weapon or you don't get one. The amount of packs to buy until you get one black rarity weapon, that is to say the amount of Bernoulli trials to get one success, follows a geometric distribution. The expected value for this distribution is 1/p. In this case, p is 0.05 (Spectre packs), 0.09 (PSPs, experimental) or 0.10 (PSPs, theorized). This means an average of 20 Spectre packs or 11.11 or 10 PSPs to get one black rarity weapon.

You sir, have no idea what you are talking about. The worst part of your ridiculous post was the last part however.

Kudos, you have now made the dumbest post of the day.

The luck of the people involved in that thread effects the numbers.

I have no doubt in my mind the actual numbers are 5% and 10%.

It wouldn't make sense other wise.
They aren't going to program it like that.

It is true what you say about equipment but with the jumbo equipment back being permanent too, it doesn't really matter.

I'm not a math expert but I'm fairly sure that percentages are not additive in such a fashion when doing that kind of calculation.

Any math experts want to step in?

Nice, just spent 800k and got nothing but character cards. So when adding the 350 I spent yesterday and the 200k before that, both with nothing in terms of N7's, the % chance is less than 1% for me.

I hate PSPs/spectres.

Most people report having much better luck just buying Spectres over the PSPs.
