 To the maths people: the odds of getting 50 spectre packs without an ultra-rare is around 8%. For 50 PSPs, its around 0.5% (assuming 5% and 10% drop rate respectively). This was calculated by 1-(1-P)^50, where P's the probability of getting a black weapon. So, while it's quite unlikely, you'd still expect 1 in 200 people to have had this bad luck. Given that this forum population is significantly over 200 people, a reasonable number will have had this. And guess what? These are the ones that actually bother to post about their luck. So we have a self-selecting sample, and the number of people with a problem gets drastically over-inflated.

Edit: By the way, love the permanent PSPs and equipment packs. No more running out of medigel

I agree. Jumbo Equipment packs are great indeed: a good way to get more equipment when you need it.

Recently I started to dislike Spectre Premium Packs simply because I found N7 weapons more frequently on Spectre Packs (about 1 every 7 packs) than Premium Spectre Packs ( about 1 every 10 packs; considering you got two cards with them it's actually 1 every 20 cards)

Just data based on the last two weeks personal experience.

I noticed they both were there and didn't have timer, so I was hoping they'd be permanent... good to know that's the case. At least now I can reliably get medi-gel if I ever run low again.

Any chance of ever seeing the Premium Veteran Pack again though?

they did have a premium vet pack back in march on the xbox, then forgot all about them
they cost the same as the jumbo equipment ppck

If you're on PC and cannot see additional packs, trying repairing your install on Origin. That fixed it for me when I couldn't see the PSPs.
