It was unfair that Sony didn't allow PS3 players to play the first two events or have Resurgence packs, but it's also unfair to give all PS3 players the packs that they should have had to earn by achieving personal goals. Victory Packs would have been fine, those were for community goals, but not everyone on Xbox and PC got a commendation pack because not everyone "earned" them. Some of us who did earn them still haven't received them. Understand that this has nothing to do with me having anything against PS3 users, just the way this situation was handled.

We did participate, we've been participating since the game dropped. I can't count how many Brutes I've killed by myself, didn't get any pack for that. While I may not have dipped my feet in the Gold pond until recently, many others have..... and now I'm getting angry and defensive.

Really?

Put it this way, if you released a squad challenge that said get a full extraction from Firebase Condor against the reapers on gold, people put the time and effort into unlocking the pack for that squad challenge all weekend, and then you released them to everybody, regardless of whether they completed the challenge or not, the following Tuesday, people would be upset. That was an awfully long sentence, but it illustrates the basic point. In that scenario, your four criteria would be met, but it would still be fundamentally unfair to those that put in the effort.

Now, I'm not saying this is as drastic an unfairness as that, considering 1) the squad challenges weren't that difficult and 2) the circumstances that prevented PS3 users from even participating, but I think it's a bit of a stretch to say that there isn't at least some degree of unfairness here. Whether it is a trivial amount or not is another matter. It probably is (I mean, even if I was really upset about people having things they didn't earn, I'll never play a single match with a PS3 user from my 360. So meh).

We didn't ask you to build a pyramid or dig a ditch or write an essay. And even if we did, they couldn't have taken part in doing so as they were at the time precluded from taking part.

2 - It's not about me being harmed, it's about fairness.
3 - I don't play on PS3 so them getting Commendation Packs in no way helps me get my own, so that argument is completely ludicrous.  Everyone knows we'll get the Victory Packs every week for the community goals, those are easy.
4 - I'm sorry you can't see why some people might find this irksome, especially those of us who have yet to receive the packs we did earn.

All us PS3 players heard from you guys was shut up you whiny brats, who cares if you don't get to play in the events even though you paid the same price for the game we did. And now it gets rectified and YOU complain. Ohh how the kettle is black.

And Thank you Bioware for making this right. It's nice to know you appriciate our business as well.

Person A is told they must do X to get Y. They do X to get Y. They then watch person B receive Y without having to do X. Person A is not feeling entitled so much as they are objecting to the entitled treatment of person B.

As I said, I agree with you that you weren't asking us to write an essay or construct the next wonder of the world. I also understand person B, through no fault of their own, wasn't able to do X to get Y. Moreover, I'll never have to play a single game with person B at all. All of that makes me lean very heavily toward indifference; I'm merely acknowledging the underlying logic of those who feel sleighted somehow, even if I disagree that it was a sleight large enough to get upset over.

I dont think you get the point. Or rather I think you dont want to acknowledge it.

All your points apply on people getting items via cheats and glitches ... except cheating hinders your companys revenue from microtransactions.
