The players that got them for free now and wouldn't have gotten them if they had to work for them, won't be playing enough anyway and the others would have fought for them if they had the chance to.
I'm quite sure, that the people complaining here have all done the Operations and therefore have the same amount of commendation packs as the PS3 players now.
So basically we now have the same amount of N7s on every system.
Maybe it would have been a better idea to let us earn the packs by redoing the two Ops on Op-free weekends, but then again I'm pretty sure we'd see people complaining about PS3 players gettig Operations while the PC/X-Box players don't.

I am sure that everyone has promoted atleast 2 characters. And everyone has survived an extraction on silver.
Stop being such cry babies and let the PS3 guys have their wepons.
Now if only BW could add the commendation pack from the second operation to people who did not get their pack in the first day (when it was bugged), so they could finally claim it.... that is something you could start asking for and crying about.

To all those who complain: Don't think about this as some people getting rewards without doing the work, it's more like people getting compensation for being left out for a long time (do you really think it was fun to read about events that we couldn't participate in every week?). It's not like we get everything you could have gotten by participating in every event. I would much rather have gotten a reserves pack than the commendations packs but I'm not complaining. It's good enough that we're able to participate in events nowadays, these commendation packs are just a bonus.

Too often companies deflect, avoid and excuse players awful behaviour in trying not to offend their customers. Kudos to him for calling someone out when they deserved it.
Also congrats to all the PS3 players. I dont care you "didnt earn it", you guys got the short end of the stick at the time, and its nice to see things looking up for your section of the community.

The difference is they had the OPTION to try for these; we did not.
As it turns out some could not participate due to technical issues at BioWare/EA part and even some who participated did no get their packs.
BioWare was lazy and instead of repeating the events on PS3 (its not like events are weekly anyway), they decided to do it the easy way. The complaints were to be expected, because the very concept of giving someone something for free while others have to earn it is wrong.

You've already admitted that it was unfair for ps3 players to miss out on the operations, which just illustrates the point above. I would rather have been able to participate at the risk of missing out on the packs than get a couple of free level I weapons a month later, which most of you already have and probably don't use anyway.
Thank you for the gesture, Bioware. Much appreciated

While I would have preferred to earn this bounty by proving my strength on the battlefield which isn't FB:W/G, your gesture to PS3 players is much appreciated.

So the people upset about this... would you have been less upset if Bioware relaunched the events exclusively for PS3 on the odd weekends then, since events are only every other week now? Somehow I doubt it.
I was just going to come in here to suggest this. Why would anyone have a problem with it? It seems like the logical thing to do. However, from Bioware's PoV, I bet it was more cost effective to just give everyone the packs then to run two operations for just the PS3, so they went with the freebie packs.
As someone that had to miss the first two operations, I can certainly understand the frustration others are feeling that also missed the first two operations on PC/360. That being said, I don't think it is worth getting upset about.

i think thrs some grief because those who earned packs did just that, earned them. a reward for success. i can understand that. im sure im still missing one. but look at it this way, ps3 users are getting compo for being excluded. perhaps a jumbo victory pack or a single com pack would have been a better choice but still, its only a game. which we enjoy playing. and so now can ps3. other packs will come along.
Im sorry but all those who keep saying things like 'you should have given them a victory pack instead, or some jumbo pack' need to quit with all that noise. That would be a slap in the face. We all know those victory packs are just as exciting as double xp weekends on this game.
Bioware, even though they didn't have to, felt the need to reach out to their customers that felt abandoned on the mp front. Those who have grief over it need to get over it.
hey just for the record im not in the "its not fair" camp. as i stated this is like compo for being excluded. all i was sugesting was an alternative that would have preventing the "its not fair camp" i totaly get what BW have done and kudos for doing it. for us xbox guys, cumon, its not like we did a day in the office for these things, we played a game. its good to have ps3 on board. bring on the banshees is all im sayin

Wow, PC and 360 players had to work for those and PS3 players get it for free... really? REALLY?... way to cater your customer bases BW.
Yep! I'm a horrible player, and this free **** I didn't earn (because I'm so bad) will enable me to gain an unfair advantage over you...in a co-operative game.

Didn't earn it. Wahwahwah. Guess what? I promoted two classes for that goal too. Know what I got for it? Nothing until this. Thanks again, Bioware.
Totally agree with you.
I survived to silver extraction the weekend of that event, and promoted two characters the weekend of the other event. I did "earn" those packs. It just took a while to actually receive my fair payment because Sony was being a bootyhole.
