I want my N7 Valiant II.
Because the Black Widow sucks so much in comparison.
Considering that the Widow is an ultra-rare, it really deserves a buff...
Wow, ignorant much? widow has built in AP, valiant doesnt. gues what that means. It means you get more flexibility with a black widow, and Gues what? thats you see snipers with widow or black widow rather than valiant. Hell there isnt even a single friend i got who uses that ****.
If anything Valiant needs a buff. not worth the N7 insignia(nor is eagle :S)
I used the BW religiously until I got the valiant. About equal granted you lose a little power for quicker shots but the valiant is 5x funner to play and with armor piercing on you still get 33 rounds...

if the reward was worthy of the challenge then im sure more people would care.
im actually hoping one of these community challenges fails or several in a row just to show that the reward isnt very stimulating.
if it was a chance at a 2nd commendation i would be all over it and bet others would actually try too.

Instead, Victory Packs have proven to be little more than a basic Equipment Pack since the beginning, and as a result, no one feels that there's much benefit to contributing to the community goal. I personally doubt we'll even accomplish it this week. I'll do my part, by all means, but something tells me it'll be meaningless.

Maybe if BioWare had actually made Victory Packs seem worthwhile from the start, we'd be more likely to see people actually trying to help accomplish the Allied Goal this week. As it is, the general consensus seems to be that there's little to no reason for us to bother trying to kill three million Banshees when the reward for just doing our own individual squad goals is so much greater. If Victory Packs had included one of the unique N7 weapons as well, people might actually care.

Yeah I think at first people were all about shinies. After they staqrted realizing the Victory packs are garbage they quit caring.
I will not be doing "my part," I like fighting Reapers but not on a weekend where all the bronze scrubs will be overpopulating Gold lobbies.
I will get my one extraction and go buy an Activision game.

The very first operation was to kill 1 million brutes and we got 3 million kills, even without the ps3 players (no offense), i guess Bioware is beginning to understand where to set the limits.
you easily get 2-3 times more brutes than banshees
so 3 mill banshees imho is pushing it.

What i don't understand is them putting up the numbers when people are obviously losing interest in the multiplayer.

Lol! Something like this?
-Banshee 1: “Screeeeeech!”
-Banshee 2: "Screeeeeeeech!”
-Player 1: “Huh? Banshees on wave 1? Where are the Geth?"
-Player 2: “Oh crap there are three of them over here.” Starts shooting them.
-Banshee 6: “Screeeeech!” and grabs player 4 from behind.
-Player 4: “What the..?” Is instantly killed.
-Player 3: “Run!”
-Banshee 8: “Screeeechycooo!”
-Player 2: “Where? They are everywhere? Ahhh!” Lots of gunfire follows and is grabbed and instantly killed.
-Banshee 12: “Screeeeeeech!”
-Player 1: “What the hell is going on!?” shoots a rocket
-Banshee 17: “Screeeech?” dies from rocket.
-Banshee 18: “Screeeeeeeeeeech!”
-Player 3: “I’m surrounded!” Shoots a rocket as he is grabbed and is instantly killed.
-Banshee 23: "Screeeeeeeech!"
-Banshee 25: "Screeeeeeeeeeeech!"
-Player 1: “Oh screw this!” Is killed by 3 banshees before he can quit the game.
-Banshees 33 and 36: High five each other as the other banshees laugh. “Sceeeeech screeech screech”
-Husks drags the bodies off the map as the banshees go back into their hiding spots waiting for the next group. Banshee 1, 2 and 3 put on Geth costumes with evil grins.
Priceless
Now all we need is someone to make a video series (like the Halo Red vs. Blue) to see the misadventures of Mass Effect 3 Zero Squad.

if they made it so that the victory pack will contain an ultra rare,
then we may be enticed to play the reapers all weekend long
victory pack will not contain anything meaningful...because even people who dont play MP this weekend will get a victory pack
And this is also why people are starting to not give a crap about the victory packs.

Don't worry. They'll claim we beat it no matter what. They need to keep up the illusion of an extremely active community with everything else going on.
Yep otherwise they would let us see how many kills we're at on the webpage.

The Black Widow does not have built in AP, it gets the full reduction from armor.
It penetrates cover, but only like 25cm so its not all that effective to use for that purpose without a mod.
I think the black widow and the valiant both are excellent weapons that are very very powerful, neither needs a buff at all.
They are different, the black widow does more damage but has a pretty big recoil and slow reload.
The valiant does less damage but has no recoil at all and superfast reload.
Personally, I never use the black widow.
I use the regular Widow for stopping power or the Valiant with AP mod for more wellroundedness.
And I tearing through enemies with the valiant, I love it.
If someone else prefer the black widow, good for them, it does more damage per shot so I can see the benefit of it.
But no one can say that the valiant is a bad gun.

I feel that the Valiant is superior to just about any other sniper rifle. Yes, the Black Widow is good if you want more total damage per single shot, but the reload time and the weight are two SIGNIFICANT strikes against it for me. The Javelin is even worse. Powerful? You bet, if you can get the shot in time. Load up the Valiant with the AP and spare-shot mods and you've got yourself a powerhouse.

Given the problems there have been, I think that is a plausible explantion for the them setting the goal twice as high as the number reported last time.

Yes it does you brat, go play a game with, shoot a guardian around the center of the shield, or something thats behind light cover. It has the same penetration as widow. Get your ****ing facts right, calling you ignorant would be insulting the ignorant people community, so i wount call you that. Built in armor penetration means the cover penetration. And yes i can say that valiant is worse than black widow for the purpose of sniping. BW has the built in AP. and better damage.
Also food for thought. The very origin and meaning of the phrase Armor penetration. Penetrate a shielding body/body of cover to get to your enemy. I.E. Shoot through a wall, Shoot through tanks armor, Shoot through a sheet of metal to hit someone behind, say a bunker door. It all means the same ****ing thing
Copy paste from wiki follows.
Much like its earlier counterpart, the Black Widow can pierce through Guardian
shields and other light cover. It has an innate 25cm of penetration,
which is the lowest of the weapons with innate penetration.[1]
While it wont be as likely to score a one shot kill anywhere to the
body, it can still kill a Guardian with one headshot. With the
"Piercing" mod, you can penetrate thick layers of cover, albeit with
less damage. Combined with Armor-Piercing Ammo, you will be able to shoot through almost any cover.
