Mass Effect 3: Into The Unknown

I guess a part of what disappoints me about the DLC is the unexpected direction it went in. I was hoping that rather than retconning the leviathan of Dis information from the previous games, they'd instead build upon it, involving the Batarians in a way that felt meaningful. We've established that the Reaper recovered brings about the downfall of the Hegemony, but why didn't Bioware build on that to allow us to bring the Batarians into the war in a stronger fashion? Instead the squints are left by the wayside in favour of something that helps prop up the endings.
TL:DR- Didn't want or need to meet the creators of the Reapers. Starbrat was bad enough. This should have been about giving us a more concrete ally than those space-squids. I prefer my version of events.
And yeah, I really hate what they've done to the Rachni. They just seem determined to grind that and other previous events/choices into dust. They need to stop sacrificing the rest of the series in some weak attempt to jam a ramshackle foundation under the disintegrating building that their new concepts form. I'd sooner have had ME3 never come to light rather than have to sacrifice the other games to allow it to exist/make sense.

and one thing that really bugs me is how clueless shepard and the crew act during the dlc. none of them are genre savvy enough to start asking questions about everyones behavior like they havent experienced signs of indoctrination or mind control like the thorian creature. watching some of those scenes hurt my IQ alittle.

What I need from you guys is a decision on which direction the speech should go: Paragon or Renegade? I have both planned, so I need you guys to choose which tone to take.
First to get three people supporting it gets written!

But i would like to see a more Paragade speach. Start of paragon when talking about Etarn but then go more renegade when talking about how they will avenge him.
But you said you already wrote them both so if you dont want to change it up just go Paragon

Don't worry, it's not exactly a clear-cut goody-two-shoes speech. Its written with the Paragon mindset behind it, but there's still plenty of anger behind it, too.
think of it as Paragon- farewell, old friend. Renegade- turning his death into a driving force for revenge.
Anyway, I'll get it written up. On the scene before this one, so almost there!

Really sorry about this folks. Work has just had me over a barrel this past month. And then on top of that I'm likely moving across the country by the end of the year (don't know exactly when, but I'm on the kind of timescale that has me packing up next week).
Anyway, I've only got a little bit of the next Side Mission done (as in, just got the side squad leaving the Normandy), so I'm afraid the update will be a little while yet. Hopefully I'll be able to summon up the time and energy to finish it up over the next week or two. I need to do a better job of keeping this current, and I'll do my best to achieve that.

Anyway, there'll be no way to restart the thread or discussion, as that's against the rules now. Shame, as the Jackolyte thread was full of well-balanced and level-headed people, ironically enough.
You could start a Revenant or Jano'Yorish support thread, though.... >;P
And to answer the inevitable theoris on my thoughts on the latest updates from Bioware; I'm not excited at all. I was hoping they'd stop diminishing ME2 and leave the Collectors alone, but now the whole mission beyond Omega Four feels kinda pointless. I just hope to goodness they leave them out of the SP campaign
I'm removing myself from all other portions of the boards, posting only in the Fan Creations section. I cannot stand the story of ME3, and Bioware have made it clear they're no longer going to cater to the demographic I'm in, so I'll stick here, where the clever and creative people gather. I'll continue to update my story, which I maintain my enthusiasm for.
I had hoped that maybe Bioware, as a company, would see the market for an alternate version of ME3 to stand alongside the current version, a 'second edition' if you like, but that does not appear to be the case. There are countless Bioware customers out there calling for an alternate way of telling the story, customers who would gladly buy a second edition to get a more satifsying story. Hell, if Bioware tried to work IT into it by way of the import feature being compatible with both ME2 and ME3 1st edition Shepards, I'd be convinced to play the current version again. However it would seem that Bioware are prideful artists before they are a customer-service based company, so it looks like we're not going to see anything close to this.
Sorry, not really fic related, but I had to get it off my chest. I've not given up on my own universe in ITU, but I have given up on Bioware's as of now.
I applied to work for you, Bioware. It took a lot of courage on my part to do so. But that was the dream for me. I idolised your abilities, and had hoped to join your ranks, be a part of something I thought to be great. No more. Those rose-tinted glasses have been shattered. and you have no one to blame but yourself.
I need to get back to my writing. See you later, guys.
Fainmaca out.

theres nothing really left for me to enjoy with the ME universe as is it is if i cant even have discussions about Jack. ME3's story is whatever now and ironically to me the MP side of things has more rpg elements then the SP.
i may occasionally play through SP grissom academy to see Jack reunite with my Shepard but thats about it and i only play the MP to get a feel for how combat scenarios might play out for ITU. other than that ME3 has killed all my enthusiasm for a role playing experience and all i see is a modest shooter to pass the time.
ending on a more positive note i could take, if i chose to go through with it, the SP and MP story elements that did work in adding to the ME story and make what i think will be a faithful representation of how i saw the universe
